Do you think God has a sense of humor?

absolutely, why would He create us with a sense of humour if He Himself couldn't appreciate it?

Personally I think you don't really have to look any further than the platypus to see God has an interesting sense of humour

There's humor in the Bible, too, it just doesn't translate from ancient Aramaic very well.

Most definitely! After all, we were made in His image.

I think platypuses are adorable, personally- not nearly as funny looking as an emu or a naked mole rat.

He created farts. So my answer is unequivocally yes.

One day I got a papercut while opening my mail. It was bleeding pretty bad.

The letter I cut it on was a "thank you for your blood donation" note from the Red Cross.

So yes, I think God has a sense of humor.

I like how he called Gideon a mighty warrior when Gideon was hiding from the enemy in a wine press. There's a lot of funny things in the Bible.

There's the part where Sarah laughs at her age wondering if she'll enjoy sex. Then God says to Abraham,"Why did Sarah laugh and say,'Can I really have a child when I am so sold?'" Then Sarah became afraid and denied she laughed. Then God convicted her,"Yes you did, you laughed."

Now I know God's going to convict liars for things they've done, but I find it funny that he convicts her here for lieing about laughing.

I find it funny when Paul is accused before the Saducees and the Pharisees that he answers that he's on trial that the dead come back to life. Suddenly instead of him being on trial the Pharisees and Saducees just start arguing amung themselves.

Proverbs 14:13 "Laughter may hide sadness. When happiness is gone, sorrow is always there." Maybe God was aiming for long term happiness for us all, than short bits of laughter. Now a lot of what God does is serious because he has the mission to defeat sin, death, all evil, rebelling angels, and the wicked. But God has an excellent sense of humor.

Example of God's sense of humor:

So, I was touring in South Africa with a bunch of friends from college. I happened to like one of the guys I was touring with. And so I told my very close friend about it. She also had a crush on a guy we were touring with, so she told me about it. So, one night, after we'd been crying for a while about it, and feeling frustrated and praying, God gave us peace.

So we walked into the banquet hall where they were serving coffee and tea. She and I walked up the table, smiled, commented about God being great for giving us peace, and we looked up...to my left, THERE was the guy I liked...to her right, there was the guy SHE liked...they leaned down at the same time, looked over at us at the same moment, smiled at the same moment, then left at the same moment.

(Then she and I about died laughing, and they looked at us really oddly at the same moment... )

If that's not a sense of humor, I don't know what is!!!(Although, it was probably funnier if you were there... )

Now, I'm going to ask you to do something that under normal conditions would be horrible and terrible. Isolate a passage from scripture.

What really gets me about that passage is that God basically makes a donkey chastise Balaam. And the donkey saw the Angel of God, but Balaam didn't. I bet that's something he told his grandchildren about. "Come here kids, I want to tell you about the time my donkey disciplined me..."

God HAS to have an AMAZING sense of humour!. . . He made me!
