God has given us prophets

Hosea 12:13 And by a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.

Ezekiel 14:9 And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the Lord have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel. 10 And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity: the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that seeketh unto him; 11 That the house of Israel may go no more astray from me, neither be polluted any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people, and I may be their God, saith the Lord God.

Father's program for the "Body" as outlined by the Spirit in 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 has not changed. In this Internet age Father has provided a means for His scattered and "called out" ones to commune together. The "prophets" of God are not the common variety of carnal men, who seek self aggrandizement. They come a dime a dozen, because there are so many! These are commercial artists who "sell" their books and prophecies to the blind. They are after income and a reputation. They are instruments of the devil to keep men deceived, subservient and veiled, 2 Corinthians 11:13-15, Matthew 24:11, 24. When their prophecies of doom and gloom fail, they make excuses! A TRUE prophet of God is a "servant" to all. He does not "lord himself" over the flock. He does not intimidate, nor threaten the sheep. In meekness he shares the light Father provides for our edification. If Father or Jesus speak to him in the first person, it is nothing to be afraid of. These two Saviors (Father and Jesus) are not out to threaten and harm the children, but to teach us greater things than we can imagine, Isaiah 54:13. "Eyes have not seen, neither have ears heard, nor has it entered the hearts of men", the great things Father has prepared for our peace! God does address us with His human microphones. But the Spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets and "the Body" was taught to "despise not prophesying".

1 Corinthians 14:32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

1 Thessalonians 5:20 Despise not prophesyings.

Father and the Holy Spirit will speak to us by using a human vessel from time to time.

Isaiah 54:8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer. 9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. 10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

Isaiah 57:16 For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made. 17 For the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and smote him: I hid me, and was wroth, and he went on frowardly in the way of his heart. 18 I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners. 19 I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the Lord; and I will heal him.

Isaiah 54:13. And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children. 14. In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. 15. Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.

This spirit and attitude of the Father MUST BE FOUND in the words of that man who speaks in the name of our Father. Father will never change His love attitude toward us, and His personality must be seen in all words addressing us in the first person as coming from Him. God "changes not". Therefore Jesus gave us the identifying qualities of our Father in Matthew 5:43-48, and in the parable of the "prodigal son", Luke 15:15-32. God will be the same at all times no matter what vessel He speaks through.

Jesus as the Lamb of God is a gentle Savior who leads like a Shepherd. He will not terrorize the sheep. He will gently lead those with young.

Isaiah 42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. 2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. 3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.

Isaiah 40:11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

Jesus will not vary in his gentle approach toward the children. Expect nothing but love in any voice or words that come from Jesus regardless of the vessel through whom he speaks. Now you know the "signatures" to look for which identify Father and Jesus in their human microphones. Your Father can speak through an [wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth], a turtle, rocks on the ground and even through YOU!

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Jeremiah 23:28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the Lord. 29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the Lord; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

Your own angels may also verify words from a true prophet that you may be edified by the prophecy. In all cases we will all "try the spirit by the spirit" because we know the devil has sent out many imitating false prophets who use "it is written" for their purpose of deception. You will always heed your own spirit, and what you cannot see may be proven by another body member with more advanced understanding that we all may grow in grace as a family unit. Peace to all!

Much of this is very good. But I think you missed some of the character of the Father, Son, Spirit, and Prophet.

Rebukes and warnings, even stern warnings and harsh criticisms were and are leveled when needed by all of the above.

By your definition, the disciples would have to reject the Christ who rebuked them often, saying,, "How long must I be with this faithless generation".

And those who crucified Christ must have done rightly since the man they crucified was known for being a rabble rouser rather than gentle spirit...

A properly developed Christian has quite a range.  Not all is soft and cushy.

Hello!

What you say is correct. The wrath of God and the sharp Words of the prophets are for those "other spirits" inhabiting the "temple of god" (human body) along with us, Matthew 12:43-45. The Spirit will address the children AND these VIRUS-like hijackers in the same speech. John 8 is an example. In this chapter Jesus addressed both the Jews and the "uninvited guests" in and on their bodies who manipulated their actions and their mouths, Romans 7:15-23, 2 Thessalonians 2:3-5, Jude 1:6, 12, 16. The Word is like a two-edge s-Word capable of dividing between God's child and the demonic "parasites" infecting them. Part of Jesus work was to make a "SHOW" of the powers of darkness that human eyes cannot see and to reveal their "seat" while triumphing over them in the process, Ephesians 6:12, Colossians 2:15. My post is with regard to the children and your post is the "other side" of the s-Word which is for those who contaminate the "temples" of God. Quite often they dwell inside and pretend to be God or the Holy Spirit. We have been advised to make every inward thought we have subject to Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:4-6. Thank you for your comment.

Thank you for clarifying.  Now I understand more what you were thinking.

Balance is the hard part of most anything that can go both ways  ;)

Jesus told Peter to "Get the behind me Satan". Fairly late in the game...  Those are sharp words for one qualified to receive the keys to the kingdom.  Did the disciples have these demonic parasites when Jesus rebuked them?

Or are we to rebuke one another, even those we love, (maybe because we love them?) as often as needed, as well as love one another with gentle spirits as often as we can?

Hello!

Everyone carries his worst enemies with him from the cradle to the grave. They consider our bodies their house. They NEED US to avoid falling in circles through all that is solid matter to us, back into the bottomless pit. Father feeds us truth in our minds in the presence of these enemies who will compete with the Spirit to cross up and double cross any truth we hear to create confusion and doubt. The battle of Armageddon is truly "mental" with physical side effects.

It is necessary for the strong to bear the infirmities of the weak. We must rebuke all error in meekness instructing those want to grow higher. This is Father's way. So much depends one's [perspective. Everything must be done in the Spirit of love. That way Father will always approve our actions. Thanks for your consideration.
