caelda, i am sorry. i mis-quoted....mis-read your post. i was reading "insulting catholics is no way to get your point across" oops. i came across as demanding an explanation because i know that some catholics have claimed that the series is degrading or demeaning to them, without even reading the books. sorry for the boo boo

i am 1/2 way through the glorious appearing, and am milking it a bit, since this is it. awesome series. imho.

:D Sorry for being snippy. You caught me on a really, really bad day.

How did GA turn out? I'm only in the middle of the third book. I kinda "stuck."

I know the books are fiction however I disagree with the author as well..I am reading a book called "the left Behind Deception" by Steve Wohlberg..the book is a critque of the bibical principles in the series..very eye opening and the author says"When it comes to the understanding of god's truth we cannot Be Left Behind! :)
I used to disagree with the views held in this book, I didn't even want to call it the rapture, but reading them has helped me understand, and come to agree with, their view of end times. It makes total sense to me. :)

I have read 1-30 of the kids and i picked up the two latest 31 & 32.
I have gotten to the part where Hattie stands up against Carpathia and he sends fire down on her. I will read the Adult series when i am through with this.

Even if you are an adult, still try to read Left Behind: The Kids series too.
They both have different points of view(because of the kids) but sometimes the kids talk with some of the Adult Trib. Force. And the kids also know Ben Judah personally.

These books are so addicting. I can't stop reading them.....lol....
You should check out the live action audio of the LB kids series. It's awesome!

in May huh? i guess ive still a few months 2 hold my breath. a really good series imo, im not sure as 2 the pre/during rapture but im leaning 2wards pre because of what ive read in left behind. these guys have done their research and they wouldnt mislead millions. i could b wrong but i certainly hope not
I believe they did do their research. Their POV makes sense to me in ways I can't begin to number. :)

Insulting non-Catholics really isn't the way to get your point across, is it?

Caedmon--I don't think they were poorly written per se. I think the writers were trying to reach a broad range of readers. Apparently, by the ages indicated on this thread, they do.
I agree...insulting non-catholics, and calling something "bunk" doesn't make your point, and doesn't win anyone to your point of view. I may disagree with catholicism, but I never call it bunk...never.
