Hi there everybody!!!

Just wondering if some of you guys can give me something unique on your native tongue and other qualities as well.

Example in my home here in the Philippines especially the tagalog language:

"babababa? bababa."
pronounced right its already a question and answer dialouge which means "is this going down? its going down."

great input though, i'd be interested in how that statement is pronounced?
i speak english so i don't have much to contribute but, great thread!

I think its hard for others to be interested coz its difficult to find something unique in their own tounge.
I know i did.

It took me a long time to find something unique in my own language.

Ill try to find an english-tagalog dictionary here and tell you in all my best how to pronounce it right.

I think the english language has a lot of slang or expressions that seems to change season every now and again but is generally a trend.

eh?
yup. i'm from Canada, and in Canada we are constantly joked and bugged about snow shoes, living in igloos and saying "eh" pronounced (aaay!)
i agree with the english slang bit...
(on a side note, would the waaazzzuuup commercial constitute unique and native ?

where im from in the great land of Ohio, we say things like "well, what do you know." in a semi-suprised tone, if pernounced right, people will understand it as, "amazing"

I'm from Missouri, nothing special about that, but the part i'm in is hick-ville, we say things like yall(you all) ex. Yall going to town today? or Youns (a form of you, meaning more than one)Youns need to clean up the chicken coup, ya hear? It really is very nice! I find it exciting! You know how far out in the boon-docks you are when the word yall is exciting!! I'm a dork!

como estan?? for those of u who don't know Spanish, i just said, Hello everyone! How are you?.. hehe. Anyways, i do speak alot of Spanish, and there are alot of tagalogs for the language, but one that i really like is "Que onda vato, que pasa??"

I have a suggestion so that you wont have to type your signature verse everytime you post.

Go to the post in which you will edit your avatar and you will find that you can edit your profile as well.

you will find that at the bottom a slot for signature.

write your signature verse and edit.
you will have now the option to post your signature also.
