There are so many specifics of our faith that we get so pushy about, but what do you think are the most basic, important parts of this Christianity?

The only basics with which I would agree in this forum would be that creed that all were to agree beforehand . know that it is vague and I know that many would consider that there are basics that they think of as basics which are not mentioned in the creed . However , we all agreed with it and I wouldn't want to open a can of words by adding to it .

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. (1 John 1.8-2.2)

First and Foremost is Salvation thru Jesus Christ.

"For God so loved the world that He sent his only begotton Son, that whosoever shall believe in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life."

That is the foundation of Christianity that makes different than all other religions.
