Read the Book of Acts.

Acts 17:24-29 (NIV)
"The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. 'For in him we live and move and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.' "Therefore since we are God's offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone—an image made by man's design and skill.

Jesus, God and Holy Spirit are all in ONE.
When did this turn into a discussion on the Trinity?

Yeah.. someone said about Jesus before God.
We have to see God through Jesus FIRST. Jesus told us, "I am the Way, The TRUTH and the Light". Jesus is the way, not Sovereignty.

And what He is talking about is salvation, not physical healing.

Strong In Him,

Your view is closer to one that I can understand. I still don't agree with it 100%, but I don't think that you think God is a child abuser or any other cliché that we could come up wih.

You don't believe that God puts sickness on people, but there are those here that really do (cue the list of scriptures about people that God sent sickness on who were in sin and disobedience in the OT from Jim M :sigh:)

I think you're taking a lot of these comments that are not specifically aimed at you or what you believe and taking offense at them.

Thank you. Yes it's possible that I am answering some posts on behalf of others, or taking offence at things that were not aimed at me. It could be that I didn't realise that they were not aimed at me, but maybe that's just an excuse.

Sorry. :sorry: I appreciate your writing this.

Just heard this analogy about healing this morning....

If you have a safe and you give someone the combination, you have given them the right to open your safe, and the right to the contents in the safe.

God has hidden for us (not from us) His blessings. He has given us the combination to the safe that contains those blessings.

But God is not going to open the safe for us..... since He has already given US the combo.

WE have to choose and to exercise the act of using the combo to open the safe.

No, that's not what I said at all.

I'm growing very weary of you twisting everything I say.

We have to see God THROUGH Jesus. That is what I said. In other words, we need to look to Jesus to see the Father. Jesus told us that directly.

And some still to this day don't get it.

YES!

The longer I know you, by hearing your heart, through your posts, the more I know without a doubt that you do believe this!

I have purposed in my heart to stand with you in faith until your healing manifestation is here in full!

Thank you.  As I have already said to probinson, I have probably jumped in and got upset about some posts on here that were not even aimed at me. Sorry. :sorry: It's just that I tend to get rather defensive on this subject - and on behalf of other people too.

Can I just say .... God is good. :D

I get it, we are in Christ through God the Father and the Holy Spirit. God never change and Sovereign of God is always there.

Tell me how it is that in this room there are three candles and but one light, and I will explain to you the mode of the divine existence. John Wesley (About Trinity)

Psalm 135:5
I know that the LORD is great, that our Lord is greater than all gods.

Psalm 138:5
May they sing of the ways of the LORD, for the glory of the LORD is great.

God is GREAT. God is an awesome God but at the same time, He has a plan.

Satan may not be aware that God is taking advantage of Satan's plans. God knows everything before Satan even think up a plan. Satan may be powerful but not all knowing as God. God is ruling all things to work together for our good and His purpose. Romans 8:28-29 "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Often God's will and plans are never logical and perhaps very unpredictable.

Good plan! Thanks God!

Again if someone believes that their sickness disease is from God and His will for them or plan for them then does that mean that if you seek healing from doctors or any other manmade source such as medicine etc. that you are now in rebellion and disobeying God?

The Lord has been dealing with me over the past weeks and I want to publicly to ask for forgiveness from everyone especially Christina for my horrible anger and ungodly beliefs.

I have received prayer for healing/deliverance twice in the past week resulting in a real change of heart. I would appreciate fellowship and encouragement as I seek the presence and power of Jesus to live a new life in Him.

I am interested to learn, if this is to be interpreted as you present it, how do you explain the following verses:
Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him [Stephen] with one accord; and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. Acts 7.57

Then he killed James the brother of John with the sword. Acts 12.2

[By faith …] Others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection. Still others had trial of mockings and scourgings, yes, and of chains and imprisonment. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, were tempted, were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented—of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, in dens and caves of the earth. And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith . . . Hebrews 11.35-39
Was God good to Stephen, James and the patriarchs of Hebrew 11?

If He was (which of course He was), and yet they suffered torture and martyrdom, why would you think suffering from the flu was worse or was saying that God was not good by causing/allowing it? I'll take the flu over being sawn in two parts.

~Jim

Wasn't all this suffering from the hand of another, because they did belong to God, and taught His precepts? I don't see the connection of the world hating you and disease. Jesus told us many times that the world will hate you, but He never said that we had to be sick. Or that He died and paid for the worlds friendship.
