So I was out & about today & ran across several Catholic books for a buck or so. When I get them that cheap, I rarely look through them closely.

2 were great stuff.

The other I thought would be interesting is absolutely creepy IMO.

I just thumbed through it briefly but gleaned enough to have that uncomfortable feeling.

It's titled-
Mary's Message to the World.
By Annie Kirkwood.

We are talking aliens.
A weird interpretation of Revelation.
All paths lead to God sort of thing.

I'm getting ready to research this person but wondered if anyone has heard of this woman.

Freaky stuff.

Guess I'll be trashing a book as much as I dislike doing that sort of thing. But I do not feel right about passing this along.

Please save the book when I am up your way you can let me read it.
I like reading all sorts of things both True and False.:)

Sorry, too late. I already threw it in the fire.

I've got some other books you can borrow when you're here. Things Mary has said that are approved by the Church. Seriously, this book I got today was really not a good thing.

Annie kirkwood could be the Catholic version of Sylvia Brown...:D Put her on the Montel Williams show on Thursday since Sylvia is booked for Wednesdays. Just Joking!!

Annie Kirkwood isn't Catholic.

I read a line in the book that said to find God within yourself...even if it meant disregarding Jesus & herself.

Strange stuff.

On the bright side, at least I got this one off the shelf.

Well I did too! ;)

I was grabbing all these Catholic books which are hard to find at such great bargains & I just assumed that the one I got rid of was Catholic also.

Just a weird new age type book is what it was.

When I read about the author it was stated that she is not Catholic.

I have to admit, the thought of throwing ANY book into a campfire makes my stomach twist into a knot! I don't know if I could even throw "The Satanic Bible" into a fire, even though I detest Satanists with all my being. Maybe because I vaule my God-given gift of writing so much, I dunno. Just thought someone should speak up on the anti-book burning front. ;)

I'm all for artistic expression & freedom of speech. I'm not one for book burning but if I see lies presented as truth and I do not want to keep it in my home & my conscience does not allow me to propogate it by passing it along...I get rid of it.

I'd do the same for a book that extolled the virtues of pedephilia, inappropriate content, bomb building, how the holocaust never happened, etc.

And not look back. ;)

I'm thinking with mass production these days, it should not be a problem for me to do so.
