NEW Book from FFOZ:

King of the Jews - Resurrecting the Jewish Jesus
By D. Thomas Lancaster

Is it possible to have the wrong Jesus? Bible critics and scholars are talking about the difference between the Jesus Christ of Christianity and the historical Jesus. But who is the historical Jesus?

It turns out that Jesus is not a one-size-fits-all mystic. He wasn’t a Christian either. Jesus was a Jew.

While stripping back centuries of cultural misinterpretations, Lancaster reveals the historical, Jewish Jesus in vivid new strokes and colors that fire the heart and deepen devotion to Him. King of the Jews digs into the history and literature of early Judaism to demonstrate the authenticity of the Gospels and to dispel today’s errant re-interpretations of Jesus.

Not just another book about Jesus, this thought provoking, fun-to-read journey into the world of the Bible is guaranteed to change how you think about Jesus while affirming the historical basis for faith in the King of the Jews.

RELEASE DATE: 1 June 2006

This resource is a great follow up to Restoration. In a time when the authenticity of the Gospels is being questioned and the identity of our Messiah is being challenged, it is very important to know exactly who our Messiah is, how He lived and what He taught. This timely resource clearly depicts Yeshua in His correct historical context. He was a Jew. He lived and died as a Jew. He was and is King of the Jews.

Wow...gives me goosebumps. Thank you for sharing. It is confirmation of things the Ruach has been teaching me, I will have to get this book. Not to mention, I was sitting tonight and reading Nazarene Israel a book by Yosef ben Ruach and he was discussing much of the same thing, incredible.
Teach me Abba!

Why doesn't D. Thomas Lancaster use Yeshua instead of Jesus?

Because this book, which is the follow-up to his book Restoration, is written with a christian audience in mind. The concepts he presents are mind boggling to a lot of christians so he tries to present them in language they are comfortable with.

Yovel: I believe that he uses it to make it less confrontational to Christians reading it. Using common language and words, the message can probably be more readily accepted and understood :) And there is nothing wrong with it. ;)

Well, I think he should break it to them that Yeshua is His real name. I'm not trying to be obstinate, it is just kind of hard for those coming out of the church to find out how much they have to learn about MJ. It is kind of overwhelming trying to understand hebraic names and such at first. But I guess if they are serious they will search it out for themselves and ask questions when they have them.
