When I think of ministry, I think of a missions trip to Africa or a local outreach at church. However, I believe God has given me web design gifts for a sole purpose - to glorify Him!

I am having troubles trying to keep God focused in all websites and projects that I may do in the near future, provided that I take up web design as a full-time job.

Technology is the new thing and Christians of all ages need to take advantage of this to get the gospel to the unreached.

How do you go about ministering on the Internet?

jools ;)

As Christians we only have three things through which we can witness the Gospel: our attitude, our actions and our character.

When you are dealing in the 'business' world, seeking clients, setting up contracts, performing work, are you doing so with an attitude that reflects the light of God in your heart, are you do so with a character that reflects the light of Christs character, and are your actions consistent with your attitude and character?

You may or may not have opportunities to work on sites that are primarily Christian in content and purpose. Of course, you could always try and limit your portfolio to such projects, but you might starve in the process - that's a decision between you and God. But even if you pursue a career in web design and flourish in the commercial sector, then you know that you can still glorify God by doing your business in a Christ-like way. You will touch hundreds and thousands of people directly, and they will know whether or nor you are witnessing the Gospel in your life through your attitude towards them, how you act and the nature of your character.

And its the same whether your face to face or exchanging binaries over cat 5 cable.
