Absolutely a good thought to keep in mind! Good post!

Poem makes some valid sense regarding how it is often easier to tear down / destroy than it is to build up / create .

Yet , sometimes it takes faith and courage to act when tearing down is the right / good thing - one that is necessary for proper building up to then take place .

So Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead. In his days the land was quiet ten years.
And Asa did that which was good and right in the eyes of the LORD his God:
For he took away the altars of the strange gods, and the high places, and brake down the images, and cut down the groves:
And commanded Judah to seek the LORD God of their fathers, and to do the law and the commandment.
Also he took away out of all the cities of Judah the high places and the images: and the kingdom was quiet before him.
And he built fenced cities in Judah: for the land had rest, and he had no war in those years; because the LORD had given him rest.
Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us; because we have sought the LORD our God, we have sought him, and he hath given us rest on every side. Wonderful, thanks for sharing! I know that in my life I've been both........ this really makes you "see" how long it takes to build something back up......

I am of the opinion that it's easier to tear down than it is to build up. Particularly, building trust and building relationships. Once damage is done, it cannot be undone. This analogy made sense to me: Once you have run a red light, how many green lights do you need to go through to make up for that?

This issue has been especially relevant in my life.
