A real Mormon? Yeah, I was at one time involved in the LDS church as well. Praise God He led me to truth!

Still searching. I don't know, I'm kinda weird. What I am searching for personality wise is someone who is goofy, and weird. She can't be really smart either, kinda dumb. And not Quasimodo weird, goofy weird in a humorous way.

Never mind, just ignore me. I AM a loser failure...

Well I rebooted the computer and got page 2 to load....
So what about the 212? Did you just pull those numbers out of the air?
Eyahhh, you got me. ;) That's the area code for New York, 'scuse me, NEW YAWK, and I of course live in Oklahoma...
Jenn and Ben! hey that kind of sounds good together!
Shu-wah. Just don't start chanting, "Sittin'-in-a-tree..."

(Is "Jenn" her real name???)
can I play cupid on this forum???
I dunno, can you fly around and shoot little heart-tipped arrows??? :p
Never mind, just ignore me. I AM a loser failure...
What was that about? EVERYONE fails. A "winner" is someone who fails, tries again, fails, but keeps tryin' 'til he/she wins...

(Remind me---was this thread s'posed to be light or serious???)

ME?!?! SEWIOUS??? Perish the thought...

:p :p

Hi everyone,
I think that people fall in love for different reasons. Love is such a wonderful gift to share with someone. While I do not think that you can control the emotion of falling in love, I do think that you can control your reaction to that emotion. sometimes though, the reactions are the best part.
I met solo here on this site. When I first joined I spent time only in the prayer forum and I would notice the "users browsing this forum: solo66 man and amie"
so I immediately took a liking to him that he would spend so much time in prayer for others. Then in some of the posts we would start to acknowledge each other. I recall posting something to someone who had depression and he quoted me and said "Amen". That was a really good feeling, to have his support in what I was saying so I was drawn to him in that respect. I admire him for his ability to help and pray for others and I have to say, I did fall in love with his spirituality. I love that about him. He also has an infinite amount of patience with people and I wish I had that quality, I really love that. looking back at solo I would say the things that made me fall for him were a love for God, patience, a sense of humor and no matter what was going on in his life, he was always there for me with time to listen and comforting words of advice. I love that...
so Jer, there you have it. Love and blessings to you always...
your friend
Amie

Yes, well see, that's my point. ;) I knew it was a NY code. LOL. Actually, it's a NYC area code. North of that is Westchester with the 914 area code and north of that is Putnam and Dutchess with 845. Didn't know if you realized you were saying an actual area code or not. hehe

Yes, it's my real name. :)

there's a q and a z on my phone.;)

anyway, i've never been i love. never really even dated...oh, correction... i have dated. once. not a good experience. i had to beat off with a stick (no joke). i dumped him and for three months he stalked me. *shudder* didn't stop till i threatened to call the cops if he got within ten yards of me. i don't think he was a christian. nothing happened except high stress levels. hmm... anyway, i've decided that i can't deal with a high school relationship. i'll wait till a little more maturity seeps in. lol. :) i've figured i've got time.

Be aware. There are many claiming Christ and don't know who he is.

i'm aware of that. the guy i talked about claimed to be a christian. he didn't live like he was. that's part of the reason i dumped him. that and he didn't respect his mother or my parents. not only did that annoy me but it sent off warning bells. :sigh: difficult to explain.

oh, btw, welcome to the board!

Well, I am not and never have been in love. Don't worry about it though, I'm a little young to have been in love. Anyway, I seriously believe that if it is God's will, He will lead me to the right spouse. I'll admit though that I seriously hope that marriage is in God's will for me. Whatever He plans is the best though.
God bless!

That's the thing with the last couple of guys I dated...including my ex-fiance. They said that they believed in God, and at the time that was enough for me. But now I really want a God-loving man. Not just someone who says, "I believe in God." They also have to SHOW it. :)

I am in love with God, I fell in love with God since November or 2000...
Oooo, that was good! :D
I dumped him and for three months he stalked me. *shudder* didn't stop till I threatened to call the cops if he got within ten yards of me. I don't think he was a Christian. nothing happened except high stress levels. hmm...
I once flew across country, and knocked on someone's door late at night (with a dozen roses). Stalking? Hardly. When she told me to go away, I said, "Then that is what has to be". I prayed with her, then walked away. When you care for someone, your focus is in honoring them. And I cannot be with someone who does not want me there. :)
anyway, I've decided that I can't deal with a high school relationship. I'll wait till a little more maturity seeps in. lol. I've figured I've got time.
You are wise! ;)
he didn't respect his mother or my parents.
If a girl want to know how a guy will treat her, see how he treats his own mom. He should be balanced, not a "mama's-boy", but absolutely honoring her---the commandment with promise. As he treats her, so will he treat you....

You know, I haven't quite decided about the whole "dating-thing". Some say it only prepares you for divorce. Think about it---you spend time with someone, get to liking them really well, and then usually you break up and go separate ways. On the other hand, each person you are friends with, expands your horizons, as you see the world through different eyes. I don't believe I would be equipped for a long-term-relationship if I had NOT dated several people in my life. What's the answer? I'm afraid there are fewer answers than questions in life... :p
i have dated. once.
I had a date, just last year!!!

....it came from a BOX, and it was PITTED!!!

BWAAAA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!

:D
