I tell you now, the Harry Potter series severely damages young people's ability to differentiate "Good" from "Evil" and paves the way for other "New Age" ideas to flow in without resistance, unless of course you intervene with the word of the living God.
They would be incorrect if they were to claim any of the characters at Hogwarts is just a "magician." They are witches and wizards in training (children) and in practice (adults), as the book's basis revolves around. Someone claiming anything less would be, for me, rather hard to take very seriously in conversation.
