Does hell exist?

1) I never EVER download anything from a source I don't know. So I haven't read your evidence.

2) Hell exists. Anything's possible. If you decide in your soul that there is a place of eternal torment known as "hell" and that you deserve to go there...chances are you're right!

I'm pretty sure that if there is a "hell", it's pretty empty, because almost no one thinks that they personally deserve eternal torment.

However, there is only one true heaven, and it's the one with the beer volcano and stripper factory. It can only be reached by those who allow themselves to be touched by His Noodley Appendage. Accept His Pastarifficness, and become a Pastafarian before it's too late!

I didn't download either, but in response to the question, no, I do no believe there is a place where bad people (and people who aren't Christian) go to be tortured for all of eternity.

I too did not choose to download the file. I have done enough study on the evolution of the doctrine of hell that I have no use for it. Hell only exists in the minds of those arrogant enough to think they are better than someone else based on a biased and exclusive philosophy of religion.

I am a believer and I agree that the version of hell that christians are taught is not so. Biblically hell is a place reserved for demons not people.

2 Peter 2:4
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

The hell fires and damnation taught in the pulpit do not begin at death but after the second ressurrection. When those of the second ressurrection find out that they are outside the City of God.

Revelation 20:9
And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Bible talks of sleep for those who have died.

No. And I, too, am not going to download anything. I come to CF to read things on CF, not on other sites. If you have what you believe is evidence that hell exists, write it in your own words on here.

Can you separate hope from delusion? Think about this; if you do not believe in Santa, is your belief the death of hope in Santa? It’s ridiculous, provide evidence of a soul and then we can talk about it.

Dante's Inferno was one idea of hell. Dante just made up the idea when he was mad at at these priests that banned him from a church. Thats where the nine levels of hell came from. A lake of fire is about as funny as a heaven.

I dont believe in Hell, but that doesnt mean that it doesnt exist. I have no way to prove whether it exists or not. I personally dont think it does, though.

I believe that we all go to the same place when we die, where our souls our cleansed and we prepare for our next incarnation. Again, dont ask me to prove any of that, because, obviously I cant. It's just a belief based on personal feelings. Maybe everyone's afterlife is formed around their own thoughts of it during their life... maybe not. Who knows.

Yeah, it is hard to believe that so many catholics follow Dante's inferno. I mean, some very prominent people were in hell just because they never heard of Christ. Plus, as atheistperson stated, a lof of Dante's enemies were strategically placed in hell.
