Don't worry, if it's God's will he will make it possible for you to get married. He'll soften their hearts towards the idea, maybe not right aways, but that's why you're only getting married 3 years down the road, and not tomorrow, right?

No it's not illegal to be engaged - just to get married under 18 without parental consent. (But it can be done) not that i've thought about it *cough cough* ... we've got ages to bring them around. I'm just scared of thier first reactionyou're not getting MARRIED at 15 so technically being engaged is perfectly legal. He's still a minor as well, so it's really not that big of a deal (at least it wouldn't be in Canada. I don't know how your laws are over there, I'm assuming they're rather similar though.)
