feel slighted when someone speaks the harsh truth, and in order to make things comfy for themselves, they immediately accuse the speaker of being too harsh...... accusing in reflex...

Try reading the Bible without the newspaper in the other Hand is my suggestion. God is control of His church. It's no more asleep than it ever has been. Try Love and compassion for a change, be like Christ instead of asumming that you are some kind of Prophet or something. Your connections between current events and Bible prophecy is almost laughable. I 'm sorry. I don't mean to be rude, but you guys with this "laodician Church Age nonsense that comes from a false futuristic view of the book of the Revalation are pretty funny at times. My bet is the church will be around maybe another 1000 years or so. What will happen to your doctrine concerning Israel becoming a nation again be then? You're prophecy is running out of time. Isreal is the church, the church is the Isreal of God according to the scriptures. Disepensationalism falls on it's face when the Bible is searched.

I hear your message and I too have had dreams but have kept them to myself, for the most part. However I am compelled to share a couple with you here.
When younger I had a dream that I was wandering a dark path with dark leafless trees and no fruit. I was without clothing although that did not seem to bother me. Around the bend was an erie glow and I held to a leafless, fruitless tree as I peaked around the bend to spy on the glowing.
The glow came from a pit and in the pit were two men in white. I walked closer and saw that the men had no faces. The pit was awash in fire. The men reached out to me and said, "It is now your turn". I awoke from my sleep and sense the age of 18 I've only had this dream once. It still provokes me to this day. I Answered the call to preach at the age of 18 and the Holy Spirit has never failed to give me a message to preach.
Now I know that all messages of God are revealed through His Word and I firmly believe that in our generation there is no new revelation. However I do believe that God can motivate us through dreams and life experiences.
I do have reoccurring dreams that I am in a dire straight and I realize that I am asleep and must wake myself so I will be spared the terrible end of the dream.
With the onset of these dreams I now realize that they are just fears that I face in life. However they do motivate me to rely on the scripture to calm my fears.
I have equated my awakening dreams to the fact that God is calling His Church to wake up before His terrible wrath falls upon the sleeping foolish virgins.
If you'll note that even the foolish were awaken by the cry of the midnight crier. Therefore it stands to reason that all are going to be awake through this time of judgement and wrath.
Now the question is this, Who will have oil so that their lamps will be burning and giving it's light during this time of darkness?
Our message is not to awaken those who are asleep for God will awaken them in His time. Our message is to turn the people of God back to His Word and let the drilling for oil begin.

I can assure you that of those on this board - Dad is not confused. Now your ALL CAPs behavior and unwillingness to engage is ANNOYING ME. STOP SCREAMING!

The church really is asleep now. She will be fast asleep until the Bridegroom calls. Then when He calls for the ten virgins, only five will be ready.

Uh Oh!! That doesn't sound very promising for the post-tribbers. And many pre-tribbers will be in shock too because only those that are ready will go. The question is, what does it mean to be ready? This sounds like a trap for those who bought into the (Once saved - Always saved) deception.

Many claim they believe, yet they bear no fruit. They don't even realize that every tree that doesn't bear fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. Faith without works is a dead faith, yet most believe they will escape.

Luke 21:34-36 - "Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissapation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap. (35)For it will come upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth. (36)Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man."

Verse (36) KJV, - "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man."

What is "fruit"?

I believe the church is not asleep but is wide awake, i think the church of today centers more on the love of Christ, and less of the rules and traditions which is a good thing. The church of today is preaching less condemnation! but more about forgiveness and love of Christ. and thats what we want people to know what God is about (Love).

My advice to you jeremiah422 would be to sit down, relax and Let God be in control.

Janine said it just right, I'm with you. This message of constant comdenation does nobody any good and bears no fruit but a few others spewing forth the same thing. What sinner would be attracted to that message. The church is wide awake and doing it's buiness as Christ is leading. Alarmest are getting in th way. Try love, try compassion, try forgiveness brother, it works better.

It's not the message itself that bothers me... I certainly agree that a little bit of a wake-up call is a good thing. But it still stands that all-caps is a form of online screaming... I'm sorry, but the message would have made just as good an impact if typed in a more relaxed, composed manner. Not to mention more people would jovially agree with lifted glasses and a twinkle of the eye.
