I actually just recieved an email from the AFA about this, asking me to send an email and complain. Many times I have done this on other issues, but I didnt on this one.

I didnt really check out the site either... so I may be a bit misinformed. I do believe we need to spread the gospel and minister to EVERYONE. Drug addicts, convicts and yes, people in the inappropriate content industry.

I, for one, wouldnt feel comfortable doing it and I would not like my husband to be involved... but I suppose someone should do it.

As I said, I am not sure of the details or exaclty how involved this church gets into the inappropriate content industry.... maybe thats why some people are complaining, I think I heard about these people attending inappropriate content conferences or something, so they may be right in the midst of it and seeing more than most of us believe a Christian should see, but I dont really see many other options if one wanted to go into a ministry of this sort. I just hope these are strong Christians.

Are you asking if there's anything wrong with this ministry in particular or the whole idea of ministry to people with inappropriate contentography (sexual) addiction?

Well, check out some of the comments made by people in the "Read Hatemail" section. Some of the people claiming to be christian are outright crazy about it. Claiming that this isn't a ministry - God wouldn't approve of them going to inappropriate content conventions. ect....

I think it's amazing!!

Hold up.... I apologize, I was wrong. I recieved an article in my email from Christianity Today in regards to the XXXChurch. I dont have enough posts yet to post the link, but the article is at their site.

I have been busy and must have gotten my thoughts mixed up. The AFA email I recieved was pertaining to a different XXX petition. Apparently the powers that be want to give inappropriate content sites their very own domain. This domain would contain nothing but inappropriate content. I havent signed this petition yet because I am not so sure this is a bad thing. It might keep inappropriate content off all other domains. The AFA is against it because they say that the inappropriate content sites will not be forced to move, only politely asked to move. They may have a point there. Not sure yet on this one.

Again, sorry for my misinformation. That article isnt really even bad. I do know I have heard people complaining though.

Woah. At first glance I thought the site was promoting Christian inappropriate content, and I was confused.

I think more Christians are entangled in the secret sin of inappropriate content than you'd ever imagine possible. Somebody has to reach them. This site is trying.

I think that it's a bit shocking, but the owners are brutally honest. My favorite part was the bit on the issue of masturbation way down at the bottom of the "In A Nutshell" page.

Perhaps people get upset because they are so honest. From what I have seen of the site, they are a ministry doing their best to help people. I must admit their somewhat common use of the word "cr*p" is odd for a Christian site, but then again I never considered it a swear word. It's just that some people do. I think in the end it boils down to what kind of person you are. Some people respond better to Christ in this kind of context than others.
