therein lies the beauty of DVD's.....UNCUT scenes from the original movie will be added in... just like LOTR movies.

BTW, I seem to lose track of what spells does what and other things like "Squib" or "Occlumens"...is there a list of HP terminology so that my head can keep track of what's what?

Another point I found extremely interesting in that interview with JKR at mugglenet...she said that Lily did not have to die...Voldemort would have spared her life if she'd let him kill Harry. Voldemort's not the compassionate type...WHY would he have spared Lily? I think this somehow ties Lily more closely to the Dark Arts (maybe through her connection with Snape) than previously thought. I'm not saying she was a death eater or anything...obviously Voldemort knew that she was trying to kill him. But what would have made him reconsider killing her?

Do you think maybe grief over Lily's death is what turned Snape back.

Just with someone saying that it was Lily's handwriting. Remember the aweful spell was in there too in the same handwriting - the one that Harry did on Malfoy. So it has to be Snape's handwriting. So it has to be his book. However he may well have written those separately to the others he was sharing with Lily.....

Just a thought - could Dumbledore teach DADA from a portrait????

maybe Snap would turn out good at the end, i have hope of that.
but Dumbledore dying is a shocker. How is Rowling going to wrap it all up in just one book is beyond me (as they still have to destroy four more pieces of Voldemort's soul!)

That's what I want to know! The other portraits seem to be able to help the "real" people, why couldn't Dumbledore's help Harry?

Will the new principal allow Harry to have DADA lessons in the office? If I remember correct, Harry has never asked to go to Dumbledore's office, he is there by invitation, and leaves when told to leave. I imagine he will be there on the sufferance of any other Hogwarts principal. Moving frames doesn't help much either, are open hallways the ideal place for a DADA lesson?

What if Dumbledore isn't really dead? Could it be that, like the Phoenix, he will rise again from the ashes? I know it does sound rather far fetched, but it could be a possibility for the last book.

Heres something interesting that Snape says. At the end of HBP when Harry is running after Snape he catches up with Snape and starts doing spells at him but Snape blocks them and says:

"Blocked again and again and again until you learn to shut your mouth and close your mind"

Do you think that Snape is trying to tell Harry something?

Until Harry closes his mind to people and learns to do spells with his mind, he won't be effective with any of his spells.

I dunno, I would more than be willing to let someone into my bedroom and get in my way if it meant that he would have a better chance of killing the most evil person who ever lived. As long as the new minister of magic (whatever his name is) doesn't interfere and stick in someone with his intentions in mind. But I have a feeling it wouldn't work. Dumbledore had to have done something to prevent that.

I guess most of the not-yet Christians might switch off at that unrealistic point though...but who cares, they're not going to find much of Christian help in book 7, are they? Or are they? ....????
