I'm confused,...we got 'Hell's Kitchen' in the U.K. a few months ago, but it wasn't Gordon Ramsey, but Gary Rhodes :(
and a French guy, (forgotten his name now..much kinder than Gary Rhodes)

was a good prog.
to learn about cooking/presentation, and human nature.

Great question. I have this sneaking suspicion that if Michael would've turned his door-handle and the door hadn't opened, he would've dropped to the floor, assumed the Lotus position, and cast an evil spell over Ralph and Chef Ramsey as his eyes rolled back and his head spun round-and-round... :)

That is HILARIOUS!!! :D I totally think he's crazy/evil

I was soooo rooting for Ralph, I don't get why so many people didn't like him. I hope he gets an awesome job and goes on to have his own restaurant someday soon. :)

I was rather struck with how they edited the program to show that Michael had a steak return, and a customer had plastic in their meal. Plus his kitchen staff didn't seem to be working well together. On the other hand they showed Ralph had the brilliant idea of having an anti-pasta tray while his customers waited. Plus they showed how he worked with kitchen even though he had the guy with the cut finger and Dewberry's dramas. I think Ralph worked the kitchen and showed more confidence and professionalism.

I think what won Michael the restaurant came down the competition on the street. Michael just crushed Ralph and really when you go to a restaurant it always comes down to the food.

Remember, Ramsey stated that on the surveys of the meals, 90% would go back to Ralph's and 94% would go back to Michael's. I think that was the clincher.

I was so glad that Michael won. I do not like people such as Ralph--his personality type. He's too cocky/arrogant/pushy and he was going on such an ego trip (whether false to make pick himself up or not, I don't know). Ralph needed to be brought down a notch or two. While I think he probably is a great chef, I wish him well, but I'm so happy he didn't win.

The things that Michael needs to improve on he'll learn and pick up quickly, I think. Ultimately, I think, from the people's reaction throughout the show, that Michael just cooks a whole lot better than Ralph.
