Indeed we are. If we have been saved we have been called and ordained Evangelists! And ordained by Jesus, Himself! Check it out!

"Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you." John 15:16, KJV

We are REQUIRED to tell all we come in contact about Jesus! Look at this!

Look at what God said in Ezekiel 3:18,19: "When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul."

I reminded me of these verses:)

1Cr 7:17 But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.

1Cr 7:18 Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.

1Cr 7:19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.

1Cr 7:20 Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.

1Cr 7:21 Art thou called [being] a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use [it] rather.

1Cr 7:22 For he that is called in the Lord, [being] a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, [being] free, is Christ's servant.

1Cr 7:23 Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.

1Cr 7:24 Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.

I think that settles it:)

uhhhhhh
if you dont preach the word full time, as some people do, then your not in the fulltime ministry.

i understand that yes we are ALL called to preach, but in diffrent ways. we are called to tell those around us about god, and to serve the lord in the way he has chosen.

but i think we all agree that we are not all called to be church pastors, we are not all called to give our entire lives to the mission field and become missionaries. all of us are not called to give up our better desires and do nothing except except hit the raod and preach at everychurch we can find.

there are diversities of gifts by the same spirit.
like paul and stephen.
both did great works for the lord, but not the same things.
stephen didnt travel and make churches as paul did. paul would be called the fulltime minister, stephen simply effected the world he was in while going on his everyday life.

im not trying to start a fuss, but there is a diffrence between the preachers we have ALL been called to be, and the full time minister who has given his entire life to road evangelism, or a church pastor etc.

there is a "kingly" and a "priestly" anointing.

the KINGLY anointing
is where you are anointing by god to be in the work place and effect the people around you in your everyday life. and become kings in this world, people who can finance preachers and send them places, as they cannot work jobs like you and make that kind of money. (yes the gospel needs money, its not the reason behind the gospel, but without money, we could not change our world).

the PRIESTLY anointing
is like when a man who sometimes doesnt have a job, and his purpose in life is to be a pastor or evangelist or something to the extent of preaching the gospel. a man ordained for the church life, and that is his only or main purpose. he doesnt look for big career success or to own his own business one day, just to raise a church or to preach the gospel.

they are very diffrent callings, and to be effective the church needs them both.

I certainly understand what you are saying with this. However, I still say we are mixing two different words by definition.

One can definitely be in a full time ministry without ever preaching a single word!

I agree that any service is a ministry, but I guess we're talking about ministering (or serving) in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. So I don't really think chairs, beds or any inanimate object counts (without stretching a point to incredulity).

I agree that a kindness or any action shown to a person out of compassion, love or whatever will be in the service of the Lord and to that extent we are all ministers.

I see! So I said to myself, "Do I have a problem with the English Language?" So to find out, I went to the Oxford and Webster's Unabridged, and I looked up the word(s)!

It seems my problem here is not with the English Language!
I did answer the question put to me by another moderator. My apology to the Administrator. There was no intent of incredulity.
