Can you believe I was told once by a Jewish Roots believer that everything not Jewish was from the Evil One? So basically any word or idea that didn't stem from Jews was unacceptable. hm.... I'd love to learn Greek!

Here are just a few place to start (sorry, I don't know any books). I haven't used any of them however, so I can't vouch for their greatness.

If you are teaching yourself, I recommend "Living Koine for Everyone" by Randall Buth. Look for it in the Greek material section of www.biblicalulpan.com

The CD's alone got me to basic reading and comprehension of Koine in two weeks (I can vouch for it). You will also be taught to pronounce in actual Koine dialect (which unfortunately means your seminary friends won't know what you're saying...but actual Greek people will!:D )

That one looks pretty good, though the price means I'll have to wait a month or two. ;)
