While driving my car, I saw a flock of birds flying in the air. What amazes me about it was the perfect harmony, they turn and fly in a circle then a bit higher then a bit lower but never bumped into each other.
This was awesome to view and I recalled me using the word bird-brain to tell people how dumb I can be at times. Well, I have to admit that birds may have something that Christians do need desperately Unity. With their small birdbrains they are able to live in perfect harmony with each other.
If that could have been Christians flying in the air they would have argue about nearly everything. There would have been arguments of who is supposed to fly in front. They would have held a meeting for every turn to take. They would have asked permission for flying higher or lower and maybe hand in a program as well. The members of the group would also quarrel about their positions the flesh will do the talking and leading.
Ask two Christians to do a task and then you will see a display of the works of the flesh. The biggest mistake they make is to attack each other instead of the demons that attack them. We are so use to warfare in the flesh instead of the spirit and kill those who we love the most. On the end of the day, this is costing us friendships and our marriages. This is a tactic Satan uses to block us from our calling from God. Some Christians also have the audacity to blame God when they messed relationships and callings up.
Ephesians 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beseech you TO WALK worthily of the calling wherewith ye were called,
2 with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3 giving diligence to keep the UNITY OF THE SPIRIT in the bond of peace.
If I understand this right it will read like:
Paul, begged us to live our life worthy to the calling what we were called for.
With ALL, (fruit of the spirit) whatever it takes with humbleness and meekness, with longsuffering, with forgiveness, to be patient and forbearing one another in love
Giving great care that we keep the UNITY OF THE SPIRIT between us in the bond (tie) of peace.
If we allow arguments, our rights, accusations, mistrust and jealousy we destroy not only the calling but also the relationships between people.
Where there is peace there can also be unity. With an attitude to make peace all around you, you bind demons like envy and strife with your actions.
Psalms 133:1 Behold, HOW GOOD and HOW PLEASANT it is for brethren to DWELL TOGETHER IN UNITY!
