stone said:plus there is also the argument that according to einstein's theories self perpetual motion can not be attained? true? however, the earth is in motion and has been in motion since before the creation of the human race, however you think human were created, be it, evolution or by god, the argument is the same, the earth has existed before the humans and will be around long after there are no humans to exist.
Maybe you can justify how a human can argue that the rotation of the earth is slowing down when there will be no humans in existance to witness whether or not the earth is still in motion. This doesn't even take into consideration the entire galaxy that is in perpetual motion.
I suppose this could fall under the thoery of, if a tree falls in the forest and makes a loud noise, but no one is there to hear it, does it still make a loud noise? of course it does.
The earth is in motion, the solar system is in self perpetual motion, no doctor or scientist can justify any theory that says it will stop spinning or crash into the sun or be shattered by an asteroid, which could be in 2036. I bet you didn't know that the department of defense and nasa has gone before congress already to create a new branch of governement called the asteroid response agency due to an asteroid on a collision course to hit earth eta 2036, i believe it was, it is soon. anyrate, yea, einstein, whatever.
I was meditateing one night, i was asking god to show me why well... i won't get into what i was asking, i don't feel like getting folks in an uproar again, sose we'll just say, i was shown a vision of the solar system. Now you tell me how Einsteen can justify that the earth is not in perpetual motion?
LewisWildermuth said:No it would not bankrupt the world or take generations to get to the nearest stars... The United States could probably do it in a year if it channeled its entire GNP into the effort. We already have the technology and have had it for quite a while. Using an "Orion" type thermonuclear engine for rapid acceleration and braking and an ion drive (like Deep Space 1) for the intermediate drive we could quickly reach near to the speed of light in travel speeds.
of course it's in motion, how else would it be able to stay in orbitPhred said:The Earth is falling. It's not in a state of perpetual motion. It's in orbit.
perpetual motion. Nobody said it is not in motion.stone said:of course it's in motion, how else would it be able to stay in orbit
Tell me you are not asserting that that machine works as advertised just because there is a patent for it.stone said:and once again, all i receive is ridicule, but no one is able to counter the truth with anything other than, well... it's easily seen that when one is confronted with something that they can not understand that " I " simply do not know what i am talking about, ***clears throat*** but it is not only " I " and you atheist have nothing that can stand up to this breaking of the laws of science, and that is because you can not.
hey you might like to check this machine out, it's pretty neat, kinda like that one i'm building.

The word "toy" should give you pause.
Ditto. I suspect that there are many intelligent races in this galaxy. There are billions of stars - so many that could harbour favorable planets.Hydra009 said:Alien life somewhere out there ---> Probably
Alien life that is visiting Earth + government conspiracy theories ---> No
