• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Hi, today on one of the post, my feeling got very hurt at what someone said then I posted something all out of my HURT feelings, I will post that link in a minute. So, I got embarrassed and took out the reputation level of mine and went back to that post and made part of the post font smaller, and I am thinking about deleting that part. I even noticed that one of my "buddies" (who was on line recently) did not even send me a private message like he did a couple of times before when I got upset,(I thought that he was my friend) so I deleted him from my buddy list. (no offense to all of my other buddies). People, this is how sensitive that I can be!!!
I am now feeling anxious, anxious because I do not know if I have "lost my reputation here" due to my feelings getting hurt and I am not welcome anymore. I feel like crying this is bothering me so!
I am just so damn sensitive that I sometimes hate it because it gets me into these stupid kind of "messes". I know that God created me this way for a purpose but this is one of those times that sensitivity SUCKS!!!
Please be kind and help....:help:
God Bless,
The Sensitive one who is STILL PMSING Pms sucks:sigh:

PS here is that link....

It's very easy for those suffering from social panic disorder or low self esteem to get hurt easily. I just got through reading some of the quotes others made about some of my comments and I could have easily gotten hurt because I felt that they didn't get my meaning. I'm learning to just say what's on my heart and not care as much about what others have to say back unless it's going to bless me. (LOL) Seriously, don't let it bother you. Look at the bright side, you've found others already that have answered your posting and are still here inspite of what you had previously posted. Hang in there sister, the Lord doesn't abandon us when we're down He sends in the reinforcements. Your brother in Christ

there is nothing wrong with being sensitive  people don't understand how much their words can affect others, and whilst you are still thinking about it, they have almost certainly forgotten about the whole thing.

social anxiety disorder is a very difficult condition with which to live, it makes relationships very traumatic, especially in the 'real' world. there is tendency to "catastrophise" and blow things out of all proportion. eg - if I have a conversation with someone I will have it in my head all day, I will go over and over what I should I said, or should not have said, especially if someone reacts badly. I will imagine that they will never want to talk to me again etc but the other person has forgotten all about it! and everything is fine! so don't worry about being embarrassed or anything. whilst you might feel very self-conscious, the other person probably isn't even thinking about it.

try to understand that the person didn't mean to upset you, though what they said was very crass and insensitive! they should just have kept their mouth... or fingers?... shut. that was very rude. if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. that person had no manners. they don't realise how crushing their words can be to someone with low self-confidence.

so don't worry  and even if you do lose some friends, you don't need those people anyway, and you can always find more friends

Oh, you are exactly like me!! SENSITIVE!! But without sensitivity, we would have no compassion for others. This is the gift of sensitivity! However, we do overeact too quickly, and things get into a mess. I found out that my sensitivity drives me up the wall many times too. Also, my sensitivity allows me to be an artist. If you are an artist, or if you do try to become one, it will benefit you greatly. It is our duty to try to curb our outbursts and feelings, and this does take years to accomplish! I'm still learning. Keep trying, and when you go back, don't hesitate to make the necessary apologies. God bless you!

I adore sensitive people! They are so much more interesting than people with cool heads. :D haha...
