Ok - so my thoughts this week, later than you guys of course. Wish we had it the same day as you.

coby - really really stuffed up. Not sure why he thought he might be safe, except for the greg and jen thing... even still. So he played the game as someone who thinks they are safe, not at risk. So he made some very bold moves, and annoyed everyone. The fact that he jumped off early just shows how much he thought he was safe.

Steph - really played a clever game tonight. took the pizza, knowing that Tom was going to outlast her, and so got the benefit of the nutrition of the pizza, which will help her later. Plus she would have known at that stage that she was pretty safe. Of course no guarantee, but as I said I think she knew that she couldn't beat Tom.

Greg and Jenn - pretty stuffed at this stage, cause they had no idea that it is now 4 v the rest. They still think it's 3 v everyone else, and that they can shed a few people before they need to switch alliances. Unless Steph wises up and sees that her chances may be better with the others I think they are doomed. The thing is that Steph knows about gregg and jen now, and so that may or may not mean that the others do. She could well drop them in it soon, and then take Caryn with Katie to take down Tom and Ian. There is just no way I can see her beating Tom and Ian on their own. And ther eis little chance I think of Jen being happy with Steph or visa versa...

hmm - too confused. have to think more. Can't wait for next week

wow..the deserted island thing is diffeerent. how long will they have to stay there i wonder??? that could throw a loop into alliances!! especially if they dont get to vote at tribal.it should be interesting to find out!
I do give STeph credit where credit is due, but i dont know if she was the strongest on her tribe..i think bobby jon was stronger..she simply built a fire faster. And i stick to what i say about tom and ian deserving it the most..they have carried there tribe through lots of challenges, including eating the baloo. And WHO has the first individual immunity?? not stephanie...TOM! jmo

"Especially for a female"?! Oh shame on you honey.

One of my hero's, Eleanor Roosevelt said it best when she said: "A woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water." We women will get through whatever we need to get through. It's how we're made. ;)

I agree with you that she's done so much more than the other tribe. You're right. They didn't need to do more, so their real merit hasn't as yet been tested. Hers has. We know what she's made of. She's not just physically strong. She's metally looking at the angles...without losing her integrity! I admire that a lot.

We've seen smart players before. But seldom have we seen players that we could root for with a clear conscience.

We'll see though. Those other players know she's succeded. They know she's smart. She's a threat, they know this. So we'll see how she circumvents them wanting to vote her off. That will be the real test of how good a player she is, I'm thinking.

I definitaly didn't mean it that way! I know she's strong for anyone, but that's just how most people see it. ;) I will be soooo mad if she goes home tonight. She is the only person I think who's every actually been reeealy good, really strong, smart, likeable, and not coniving and cheating like Rob was last season.

THAT.
WAS.
SO.
INCREDIBLY.
COOL!!!!!!

I think that may have been one of my favourite shows so far. I was clapping and shouting and high fiving my husband tonight. AWESOME!

I have to say something about Tom's comment about Stephanie at Tribal. What a classy thing to say- that she would fit right in at truck 108 and would be respected by all the guys there. You could tell she was touched by it. But ALSO! When she started to break down and say that maybe she showed too much heart and too much will- man oh man, I could see that THAT moved Tom. I think it may even have changed his vote if they HAD voted.
And the look of hope on her face when Janu started to put forth that she would go..... it was truly beautiful. I'll tell ya- I think Stephanie is one of my favourite players of all time and I'm glad to say it. Most of my faves before were men but this chick has it all. She really does. I hope she wins every immunity for the rest of the game.
Janu kicked butt making her fire on the island. I was happy for her and glad she could enjoy some time out there before leaving.
By the way, anybody else feel like at tribal that Jeff was really pushing for this to happen? Anybody else feel like Jeff almost suggested it into reality?

I am really disgusted with Katie and I really hope she gets the boot next but I don't see it happening any time soon because of what she herself said-she poses a threat to no one. I think she would lose to just about ANY of the remaining people in the final two, so for that VERY reason, she may go to the end, sick as that would make me. I actually feel there is a role for a joker on the island. I feel that entertaining people and keeping their spirits up is a vital thing. However, Katie does not fit this role despite thinking she does. Her jokes aren't funny and she is boring.
I'd really like to see Greg "chicken of Stephanie" outta there and you know, I thought that Ian sucked this week too. I like Ian, but what a suck, man, wanting to vote for Steph.
It was pretty interesting to watch how Greg actually steered Ian and Tom to vote for Steph instead of Janu. Says a lot about the true leadership of the tribe. I hope that stops like yesterday. Greg and Jen don't seem to be as tight as they were and I'm cool with that. I'd respect Jen a lot more if she played on her own rather than with a protector.
Karen remains almost a non-entity in this game for me so no comment really.

A women's alliance next week? Could be the smartest thing they do! GEt rid of those guys one at a time and if the women who AREN'T Jen can get her to vote Greg off, all the better. I'd love to see him blindsided by her. THAT WOULD ROCK.
Hmm, seems my claws need sharpening eh?

First, I must say that they treated Janu like ___________! (insert explitive) When they were laughing at her during the challange, I thought to myself, you __________s! (insert explitive)

But I'm over it now since the rest of the episode rocked!.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone earn their position on Survivor the way Steph has. She basically talked Janu into quiting last night.

Woman's alliacne won't work though. Jen and Greg are too tight. But it might be a good decoy for Tom and Ian. If Greg is worked up like he was this week, he'll never see it coming.

Interesting episode!!

that whole "send the loser to a scary deserted island by themself" thing didnt work out as the producers had planned!! lol

Wonder why Janu wanted to go home so badly? I dont understand that at all. YOur picked out of hundreds of thousands of people to be on Survivor and you GIVE UP!! makes no sense to me! YET i am glad she laid down her torch instead of letting them vote off stephanie, that woulda sucked..then been so predictible as they sent Janu home next week. So kudos for Jeff for practically pushing Janu off the island. Boy was he pushing HARD for her to lay down the torch..i mean ...come on..he knew it would make for better tv!!

I doubt the "womans alliance thing" will ever come in to fruition. Thats one thing that annoys the heck out of me is how stupid woman can be on survivor time and time again. most of them tend to ride coattails all the time and let the men do all the strategizing. Think for yourselves ladies..get some strategy going. Jen will be an utter fool if she doesnt go for the womans alliance because of "greggy poooo". Because its obvious that Greg is strategizing and out there for himself...and he would vote her off in a split sec if it works best in his strategy!!

I am disappointed in Tom for sitting back instead of takig a stand in getting Janu voted out rather than steph. He has less leadership in the tribe than i realized. He sat there and listened to Greg who has been out to get him and Ian for awhile now!! Wait till he sees the show and see how stupid he was being..it might have cost him the game!! sigh!!!

Well cant wait for next week as usual! bet it will be a mental immunity challenge rather than physical because the producers wont want tom to get immunity again!! wait and see!!

Thats it for my rambling thoughts on Survivor this week!

I had the same impression!! It felt as if he were pushing the outcome of last night's tribal council. But, I will say that I felt Janu should go. She really surprised me about how well she handled being by herself. I thought that would really be hard on her, but I was impressed at how well she handled it. But, I do think that if she really didn't want to be there, it was time for her to go and let the ones that really wanted to be there, stick it out. I'll have to admit that Stephanie wasn't my choice in the beginning, but you gotta admit, that girl was some spunk! She has really turned my mind around about her. I think she is one of the toughest competitor's they have had, because she has literally fought for her right to stay there. I could just feel her desperation last night as she was talking at tribal council, she wants to be there so bad. I am glad Janu stepped down. Plus, it also messed up the strategy of the group!

He did try. I think he was just playing it cool though. He and Ian know/suspect what's going on. They just don't want Greg to know that they know, yada, yada, yada.

I think Stephanie has been the leader since the show started..She is the first one that plotted and planned and got them to vote off the very first person....She did it again last night...And Tom better watch.....He wins too often.....
Stephanie cried herself right into the leadership position....

I seriously doubt that they will go for the women's alliance because the rest of the gals know that Steph would more than likely win immunity every week. Then, when they get down to the last guy being there, and he wins immunity that week, they would get rid of Steph for sure!!! Oh well...GO STEPH!!!

After seeing how they all treated Janu last night, I can say I don't want any of them to win at all. Its one thing to be competitve, but ganging up on someone who's sick is pretty low. I don't recall ever seeing that done on Survivor, the tribe just laughing at a sick persons misfortunes like that, and good for Jeff for getting on their case for it. Tom and Greg mocking her for getting sick at the reward challenge, yeah, real big men they are. Bobby John wouldn't have done that. The good guys never get ahead in this game it seems.

But it makes me mad that Janu would lay down her torch like that. As many people who have been kicked off who wanted to stay, its just wrong for someone to walk away from the game. They should have kicked her off the jury too and given her spot to Bobby John. You lay down your torch, you are totally out of the game. No jury, no nothing. I felt like the were rewarding her for quitting by putting her on the jury.

I didn't get the whole 'exiled for a night alone' thing. Big whippdeedoo. I thought they were going to be starting a new tribe or something. It was a letdown, and they aren't even alone they have cameramen and producers all over the place.

I don't like any of the remaining survivors. They are all a bunch of arrogants snobs. Ian is all right I guess. I'll root for him to win but I suspect he's going next. I liked Steph for awhile but the way she sold Coby out last week ticked me off. Coby was cool. Bobby John was cool. Ibrehem was cool. Angie was cool. Cool people never win on this show it seems. Katy......what has she ever done to justify her high and mighty attitude? I really dislike her. And if it comes down to men versus women AGAIN I'm going to start writing the producers and complain. We've seen that a gazillion times already. Mix the game up and give us something really new.
