There is no proof that T-rex could not breath fire. There are legends of fire breathing dragons. There are fire shooting beetles. I guess that anything is possible.
There's no evidence t-rex didn't fart m&ms but that's no reason to assume it did.

"Factasaurus.
Q. Does the term "dinosaur" apply to all animals living from 230 million to 65 million years ago?
A. No. In fact, some of the animals living then, like cockroaches, sharks, and crocodiles are alive today."

There you have it, quaker oats is really part of the evil evolutionist conspiracy. :)

I looked up one of the "facts" on the placemat on the net, and I found this one:

http://www.genesispark.com/genpark/konga/konga.htm

And this under the acknowledgements section:

"Dr. Kent Hovind of Creation Science Evangelism granted the unlimited use of his material, including multiple drawings by Bill Rebsamen."

Surprise surprise... I thought it might have been a link to his "amusement park" in Pensacola, FL, at first.

The artist was a noob.

It has long been decided that the skeletal structure of the T-Rex would not allow it to stand upright in that manner, but would rather have leant forward.

Still, if the "facts" are going to be sewer-soup, why not the illustrations as well?

Prax: Come on, can't you tell evo babble fairy tales when you see them? The Ica stones show T-rex standing upright. Because they show Man and dinosaur together they must be true, which means the artists work is true. Praise god™ The evilutionists fairy tale has been crushed.

Are Ica stones anything like kidney stones? If so, maybe that's why T-Rex stood upright. Otherwise it might have been too uncomfortable.

Praps that's why it was so easily to pull their arms off - they were distracted by their Ica stones.

Look at those arms. They're chicken wings. No wonder they're so tempting to yank off.

So sad that all you guys (& girls?) are so choked up/irritated/aghast...sarcastic....(can't think of the exact word here).... about a placemat in some obscure diner that teaches things that you do not believe.

What about all the teaching going on in schools around the world, that goes against what creationists believe?

If you can get so upset over one little placemat in one little diner, don't you think creationists have a right to be upset over what they believe to be false teachings poisoning the minds of their children over and over again in the school system and in the media all around the world?

Just something to consider.

it teaches things that we can demonstrate to be false.

science doesn't care what people believe. it only cares about what can be empirically demonstrated.

No, because it teaches things that are demonstrably untrue. Lies is the commonly used words. Do you really equate difference of opinion with dishonesty?

What about all the teaching going on in schools around the world, that goes against what creationists believe?

Show me something that's demonstrably untrue in the school curriculum and you have a comparison. Until you do, you ain't got nuts.

Actually, I think we're more appalled by the ignorance, and amused by the level of stupidity, than actually upset. Though I'd be upset if my kid came back with one of these and I had to sit and explain why it's a bunch of lies. I don't like people lying to my kids.

Your kids will come back with Sponge Bob and Homer Simpson antics and be told how the practice of alternate lifestyles are totally acceptable at school, while the guidance councelor hands out free condoms and takes your pregnate daughter to the abortion clinic without your knowing.

Get a life. There is more stupidity and ignorace on TV and in public education then on this silly and humorous placemat. We presently do NOT know what a T-REX would or would not do. There is enough conjecture on both sides to fill a hole...
