I am having one of those..."Calgon take me away days" Actually,it has been that way the last two days. My kids seem to be bickering non-stop,I just feel agitated constantly the last two days...and I need to feel the Holy Spirit moving in me ,and for some reason I can't seem to find him today. I'm running out of patience and tolerance, and I need to make a birthday cake today, cause it's my Emilys Birthday tomorrow. Please pray for rejuvenation in my spirit.Please.

I know this is pretty minor stuff here really, but I'm asking anyway.

Thanks guys for all of your prayers...I know it helped...
I received this in a daily devotion I subscribe to today about an hour after I posted my prayer request... :)

That evening his disciples went down to the shore to wait for
him. But as darkness fell and Jesus still hadn't come back,
they got into the boat and headed out across the lake toward
Capernaum. Soon a gale swept down upon them as they rowed,
and the sea grew very rough. They were three or four miles
out when suddenly they saw Jesus walking on the water toward
the boat. They were terrified, but he called out to them, "I
am here! Don't be afraid."

-- John 6:16-20 (NLT)

KEY THOUGHT:
Jesus' words to his terrified disciples were powerful: "I Am, do not
fear!" Built on his "I Am" statements throughout the Gospel of John,
this one shouldn't be underestimated. Jesus' words build upon the twin
concepts of the God of Israel who revealed himself as the great "I Am"
in Exodus and the God who rescues from the ocean deep in the Psalms. "I
am God with you; you don't need to be afraid! I can still the storm. I
can preserve and protect." Jesus comes to us in the middle of our
storms and says the same to us. Storms are inevitable. But rather than
taking cover in the storms of our lives, Jesus comes and meets us in
the middle of them so we don't have to be alone!

TODAY'S PRAYER:
Give me faith, O God, to believe that in the worst of my life's storms,
I can trust that you are there and that you will ransom me home. Thank
you for the assurance that you will never leave me or forsake me. In
Jesus' name. Amen.

...has anyone ever had a time in their lives when you feel like every prayer you say is being answered and you SEE it being answered.Or feel like God is truly talking to YOU,just you,and you can really hear him? Well,I am,and I love it.I don't ever want it to go away. Thankyou for your thoughts and prayers...love and godbless you all...

I'm glad to say - all the time.... and I'm glad you know it too.

You know, none of us really, truly understands just how much God loves us and He hears and responds to the smallest as well as the biggest prayers. All he wants to see in us, is our love for Him (and others) and our belief that He will answer our prayers (faith). In fact, faith is not the issue - it's our doubts that are the issue. But it's His hearts desire to bless us - what parent doesn't want to bless his/her child?

I think I'm a little late to post, but I'm gonna anyways..:) "Calgon take me away" Calls me every night Lori, and sometimes us stay at home mom's just need to be by ourself for a while, whether thats to take a bath, go to the gym or talk to GOD..I find myself going to the gym now, so when I'm done I can sit in the steam room and have a real quiet time with the Lord, and the other night I was sitting in there, and I asked God, for patience especially with my 3 yr old, I was asking to be a better mom and that before but tonight I was asking for patience, and when I got into the car, and turned the radio on, "Todays Power Verse" came on, and you know what it was: James 1:19 "My dear brothers, take note of this:Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speack and slow to become angry..
So I knew right then God wasnt going to answer me about being a better mother, I just needed a little patience..Oh how I just love the Lord, and I love it when He talks to me.I just get in such an awe I'm in such a glory.
Sorry all, just had to respond to that, Whew I think that was one of my longest posts, hope it wasnt too long, and ya'll read it:)

God Bless,
Allison

Hey Allison..you're never too late. I can use the prayer every day...but you are so right...I think I'm learning that God doesn't just want my "big problems" ,he wants my little bitty ones too. Sometimes, most of the times, that's all I have are a lot of little ones piling up on me...and instead of turning them over as they come...I think "oh ,I can handle this..."God doesn't want me to handle it-He wants to. So .I am learning and have so much more to learn.

Thankyou Martin, and everyone here...Our God is an awesome God.....

It was great ! Thanks for asking ! I made her a gingerbread man cake for her birthday...pink and red and white icing...she was happy with it ! And she got her cross necklace from us that she'd been wanting, and then David,(my hubby, her step-dad)snuck out and also got her little tiny cross earrings too !He's pretty cool like that...so...then we had an awesome service at church this morning. I just am so thankful ,that inspite of my many imperfections ,he loves me so much.

God bless you all,and thanks again Amie, for thinkin 'bout us !!!!
