Well, i'm not doing it professionally too. Been doing it for 7 years now.But i've not done very well because i needed to eat more to grow bigger. So now i'm bulking. How about posting some of your pics?

i heard from a friend that bodybuilders like Arnold take steroids. Actually almost all of them do..those professional ones. Ever heard of it?

I like lifting and cardio too...not a pro. It just makes me feel better.
the weight loss is cool too. Trying to do a least 3 sessions a week for a couple of hours each.

I have a Nordic Track Elliptical, stationary bike, Crossbow and free weights.
I would apprechiate any suggestions for recumbent bikes.

Some of the "pros" are taking upwards of $40k a month on drugs I have heard. :sigh:
makes you wonder what kind of "favors" they have to pull off to get that kind of money.

like i mentioned earlier, i dont care for how the pros look today. i was looking in a magazine the other day and the guy that came out 3rd in the olympia, i think his name is dexter jackson i believe, i liked the way he looked. but as for the others, nah.

Use to be into big style, like last year, when Jesus was'nt in my heart. I used to dream of becoming a IFBB Pro, I really liked the look of the freaky guys. And Jay Cutler was my favourite Bodybuilder. I had plans to start a cycle of Roids when I turned 21, but God had other plans for me.

Have been bodybuilding for at least the past 25 years. I miss the days when bodybuilding was grace, beauty, symmetry, sleek lines and more. Guys like Dave Draper and Bob Birdsong, both good Christian men, are examples of bodybuilders giving glory to God. The Stockton's of Muscle Beach fame, Steve Reeves and the bodybuilders from that era are what it was all about. Today, it is better building through chemistry on the pro circuit...what a pity. Bodybuilding is a lifestyle and one doesn't have to compete to be one. Have learned a lot and forgotten more than that, but one thing stays true, without God it is all meaningless...

My wife and I both lift. She's getting in shape to compete in her first contest (fitness) in November of this year.

I am bulking, contemplating whether to compete again or not.

We are both Natural (no roids or GH) my current fav is Dex Jackson, and Richard Jones.

The Gentleman above nailed it: Without God, it's just lifting metal.

I've been lifting for just over two and half years now. Because I have not stopped growing yet, I don't power lift and I don't max out on anything because I am prone to hernias (Not cool).

I'm 5 "10 145 pounds and calculated my one-rep max to be 193 pounds (145 pounds 10 times).

I first became interested in weightlifting because I had a string (3) of major foot surgeries that prohibited me from playing sports throughout middle school and limited me to a wheel chair/crutches for just over three years.

So instead of playing football, I lifted weights and have ever since.

I prefer dumbbells over machines because I find them much more intense and they work many muscle groups.

I also have a question to all the others here: Are there fewer gym idiots at professional gyms than there are in high school gyms? When I lift, there are occasionally people who try to strike up a conversation with me, and when I do weighted push-ups, many times I am told I should stop doing them because the bench is the best chest exercise.

Impressive....I was 145 at 17 yrs old and built up to 157 in a few months thanks to pro hormones....and also developed a "gyno" nipple due to high hormone levels. I stopped bodybuilding, eating right, everything and went right back to my original weight. I think I was at 210 lbs for 5 reps or so. What is that max?
