Angie does nothing for me. Someone with a bunch of freaky tats and piercings crying, "I'm such an outcast," needs to understand that they're a outcast for having all those freaky tats and piercings.

^_^ Amen Brothah!!!

I was pretty shocked that the Coby didn't pick his 'fellow freak' either. I don't like him at all. He's already annoying me. Which means he'll make the final four.

I was surprised that Ibrehem the big beefy black guy didn't get chosen sooner and yeah, the old guy over Jonathan? Must have been a gut decision.

I like Ian too, the guy who got the immunity necklace.

And I have to say that Tom is amazingly hot for a guy with silver hair!

Really liked Janu. Gutsy gal climbing the tree the way she did.

Bobby Jon is sweeeeeeet so far.

I think that the way they started this game was a necessary shake up. It will psychologically affect the players throughout the game. It showed a lot in the choices they made right off the bat.

This was soooo fun!!!!

Who did everyone like? I kinda like Tom from the brown team and Stephanie from the blue team. I don't know why, I just do. ;)

Janu and Ian the Dolphin Trainer impressed me. I'm skeptical though, people they focus on alot in the first episodes tend to fair poorly. Look at last season; Amy and Julie were almost totally unheard from for the first 4-5 episodes and they became big players down the road. I think what they do is focus on the people that will be gone before the merger to give the early epsiodes some drama. We get to know guys like Tom and it means more when he's gone by episode 5.

That could be true.

I was sorry to see Jolanda go. I liked her. Strong women scare people I guess. Between her and what's her name, I would have picked what's her name. I don't judge people by their appearances. I'm actually pretty good at looking past exteriors. I just don't like people who are too into voicing their self pity. I'm reminded of my ex-husband who was in the Air Force who used to say "Suck it up!...you knew what it was going to be like before you signed on!"

I knew that singing lady would be booted when she belted out that song. I admire her zeal. Her willingness to put herself out there. But...I knew as soon as she did it she was gone.

I think the reason they didn't pick the cute young guy and went for the old dude was so they wouldn't feel like they were the kind of person that would pick the cute young guy over the old dude. Do you know what I mean? Too bad too. The guy they kept struggled during the challenge.

I know exactly what you mean!

I think that as soon as Jolanda said/shouted that thing like "Now we HAVE to rest an hour for every 2 hours we work", she signed her walking papers. She may have had a chance before that, but people just DON'T like being told what to do- and yeah, especially by a woman.

I watched part of the rerun at 8pm (I still have it on tape) and noticed, for a second time, that Angie appears to prefer a more "natural look" for her underarms than she does for her nose, ears, arms and chest.

Does anyone else think Ian looks like a cross between Ted Cassidy and Bill Gates? As far as the lost fire tools go, I wonder if Ian will be able to use his Aquaman powers to summon a dolphin who will assist in recovering it.

I would like to hate Janu for being a Vegas showgirl, but she speaks like 15 languages and is physical (NC - agreed on the tree climb). Jolanda wasn't voted out for being a strong woman, she was voted out for being a bossy person. The messed up thing about this game is that the fine line between being a leader, being assertive, offering ideas/suggestions and being bossy is far to easily crossed. Look at Deb in Outback. Her suggestions, from what I recall were smart and reasonable, but she was voted off for being bossy.

Why didnt the koror tribe pick the island they already built the shelter on? they had a choice. Yet they went somewhere they had to start from scratch? not too bright!! they need to save every ounce of energy they can. Why build a second shelter when you didnt have to?? now they have to waste a ton of energy on trying to dive down and get the fire AND build another shelter.

As to why Jonathon wasnt picked by Caryn and Willard was. think back to the conversation that Caryn was having with COBY!!! Coby was saying jonathon should be the first voted out because of his strength! Caryn had her chance to vote Jonathon out and she did..she had just been picked to stay by Coby and was thankful to him..turning around and picking jonathon wouldnt have been smart. she strategically picked willard over jonathon. So jonathon really has coby to thank for not being able to play survivor!

Thank goodness that Wanda the singing woman got the heave-ho. I love Survivor, but she might've been enough to drive me away from watching the show. Or perhaps to lead to people losing their sanity on the island. I think they intentionally picked her because her singing was so obnoxiously bad.

Ditto pretty much on all your points!!! lol Wanda was already annoying me, so I am glad she wasn't picked, even though I felt bad for them because they didn't get a chance to play the game at all. What a disappointment.

I had to laugh when the canoe tipped over. ^_^ Even though I do feel a little bad for them. I liked Jolanda okay, but she was bossy. Her strength could have helped in challenges, but her attitude was too much.

I DO NOT LIKE COBY!!!!!!

I was sorry to see Jolanda go. She had some great ideas and she had a tender heart. I knew Wanda was going, because people that nerdy are never truly appreciated. I was surprised to see the gorgeous blond hunk go though. Too bad.

My bigest surprise: James. He looks just like the English actor who stared in the movie "Jude" with Kate Winslet to me. So, when he opened his mouth, I was totally unprepaired for him to sound like that!

I don't like "Lydia the tatooed lady" or Mr. "pink is my signature color". Not because they look like freaks. I'm an artist, I work with people that look like these two everyday. :D But because she's so busy feeling sorry for herself and he's so busy figuring out who's back he can stick a knife in next.

This Survivor brings the movie "Lord of the Flies" to mind for some reason.

I hope...hope, hope, hope...that there is someone I can feel good about routing for this time around. Someone like Roger. Remember Roger?

We just had survivor tonight - i have been so waiting to talk to you all about it. So great to find christian survivor supporters.

Roger was in amazon - he was rather sexist and had no idea he was going!

I really liked Tom, Ian and Stephanie.

I think they were pretty dumb picking the new island.... why leave a shelter, and an island where you knew where the water was, and that there was food, for something you didn't know.

Coby is, I think, the resident evil person this series. I think he's a bit of a wannabe johnny fairplay. Should be interesting to watch. I suspect he may be a bit transparent. However, intensly disliked people have a way of making it far, because people don't vote them out cause there is always someone more threatening to vote out.

anyway - loved the first ep. I think it was a bit annoying for the people not picked. But interestingly, unlike 'the outcasts' they haven't already been voted out. I hope if they do bring them back in that it is sooner rather than later, cause it stuffed things up last time.

Also - I really don't like the tribes of 9 - it gives a natural 5-4 alliance, which makes it really boring, cause 4 people never get a shot generally. Too easy.

gotta go.

Right. That's the Roger (Rodger?) I meant. The one who learned how to swim right before the show and had to jump off that cliff into the water and swim. The one who owned a farm or something and was the best educated, if my memory serves. Elizabeths father figure. He was so sweet.

I don't even remember there being another Roger. Sorry for the confusion. I assumed you all would know who I meant. Whoops.

Found out why Jolanda was so authoritarian...She'a a lawyer. And by the way...there are 4 lawyers in #10. A number only to compete with all the waiters on the show. :D

Oh and I agree...Tom...he is a hotty. But then...he is a NYC Fireman.
