I started reading it yesterday. Our church is going to read it as a church family beginning in Feb., but I couldn't wait.

I started reading it last night. As someone else already said, just the first day is amazing...really hits ya first thing letting you know how selfish you can be sometimes. I got mine at Wal-mart for around $12 or $13.

My only concern is that the 40 days of purpose might make people think they have 40 days to conquer all of the concepts in the book, which is not realistic.

My wife got really bummed about 1/2 way through when she felt she was being overloaded with things that she had to do, feeling she had to feel w/o time to put them to use in her life.

I reminded her that our journey to be like Jesus takes a lifetime and that no one ever gets there, completely.

Amen, it's just something we work at day by day. I know already there is probably a ton of stuff I need to work on in my walk...so I am already bracing for the reality of it. I just feel its time I done something to be more like him instead of sitting back on a pew and thinking about it.

Very true Kelly. Some people are doing 40 weeks also as a different approach.

By the way, Rick Warren was on the Bible Answer Man Broadcast on the radio today talking about this book. He will be on again tomorrow for another hour.
