Atheism and Heaven

No... an athiest can not be in Heaven The only way to enter the Gates of heaven is to have faith in the Lord.


Isaiah 25:8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.

Matthew 7: 13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Unless the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you, then God can't raise you from the dead either. And the only way to have the same Spirit is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, because He said He was the Way (to the Father), the Truth (about God) and the Life (the life of the Spirit of God).
As someone else pointed out..

(Rom 8:11) But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.


As soon as you believe and commit your life to Jesus and accept His death on the cross for you, then you shall be saved and the Spirit of God will fill your life. You will then be resurrected and dwell with God.

Atheists don't believe in heaven.

Believe in heaven, but don't believe in God? Just isn't logical. Something is missing from this equation.

Are you hinging all your hope on Romans 2:12? As Midge suggested, read on. Nobody can keep all the laws.

My other answer is still valid. That's the only way any of us get into heaven, by repenting and becoming a humble follower of Christ.

I am sorry. It is like Nikoel quoted, narrow is the gate to heaven. Wide is the gate to destruction. Jesus guards that narrow gate, and those that reject Him on earth, He will reject in Heaven.

Therefore, I want to urge you Cweb, please open your heart to the love of Christ. We are all sinners, we can never measure up to the Law God prescribed, but there is a way out. When you confess with your mouth that Jesus is the Lord and resurrected Savior, and are baptized, you actually die. The law is not binding to the dead. You will be a new creature, saved not by your works, but by the gift of God.

This is the ultimate gift of Christ--his love. Only in this way is life fulfilling--all Christians can tell you this. We once lived in slavery to sin. Often, we thought it was a great life. All eventually came to the realization that Christ is King and our sins were killing us. He saved us. That is love.

The point of the scriptures is you will be damned by your works!You have to be sinless to merit heaven.The bible teaches if you think you have no sin,your a liar and the truth isn't in you.

The law does not save, it only poins out how corrupt and fallen we are. Therefore it only brings death- the sentence. Christ did not exploit a loop hole in the law he drove a passage way through the death that law broke.

If there were any other way apart from Christ then entry into heaven would be by works not by grace. I don't know about you, I certainly needed grace.

Jesus Christ is the only loophole you have. The only Way, Door (hole)..

(Luk 13:24) "Strive to enter through the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able.

(Joh 10:7) So Jesus said to them again, "Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.

Not only can an athiest not enter heaven, why would h/she want to? We will spend eternity in the presence of God and his angels, praising and worshipping him. I don't think an athiest would enjoy that.

Why not?
