I had heard about this & could not BELIEVE Disney was interested in telling an overtly Christian-themed series? (written not long after C.S. Lewis was converted from a pagan to a Christian, thanks to his friend J.R.R. Tolkien! :) ). "Are you sons of Adam? Are you daughters of Eve?" "Aslan made a pact with the Witch to take the place of Edmond on the sacrificial table".

Also, according to the link, it looks like this had been in the works before the release of "The Passion of the Christ", too! Obviously the C.S. Lewis Foundation trusted Disney's vision for it enough to release the rights to them? I say, "bravo" to Disney (& WETA)!!

I absolutely love The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe & can't wait to see it in a MOVIE theater!!! Is it live action? or another animated version? I couldn't tell from the link. I bought the award-winning, animated, CTW (Children's TV Workshop) VHS version two years ago on Ebay! :D

There's already a great movie out. You can see more about it here . It was a great version because it was very accurate to the book. True, the acting was alittle... bad, lol. But the accuracy was great. I hope Disney does the same. I'm just terrified that they're going to change it horribly.

Disney will be playing to a largely Christian audience, and they know this.

They are a business, and if they can make money, they probably don't care how much they promote Christianity.

I would expect some changes, as film and literature are two different media, but imagine that the overall the message and story will be the same.
