I have a Taylor 410 and my son has a Martin DCR16GTE

Ilove 'em both, but I'm patial to the Matrin. Great people down there in Nazareth. Back their guitars, too.

Phew! Spelled that one too quickly

Paul Reed Smith's are pretty sweet lookin', and soundin' if you wanna spend $2,000+ on a guitar, me playing bass for the most part, I like Ibanez, they seem to make the best bass guitars. I'm currently playing on squier though, great learning guitars, but definately the cheap fenders they are

I've played for 10 years and a few months ago I was looking for a guitar. After four weeks of searching and playing everyguitar I could find, I concluded that the taylor blows the martin away. Martin has a good sound but taylors tone and projection are unbelievable.

Anyone ever tried a Breedlove acoustic? Whew...what a guitar!

Taylor is toatally awesome!! I wish i owned one, I have an Ibanez acoustic and Ibanez electric and i love them both, but i wish i had a Taylor more.

I have, turned out to be one of the worst purchases I ever made. Fell apart in one year, neck warp, frets shaved out, bridge pulling the top appart. They look cool though.

Carvin DC 727 for me. All black; no fretboard inlays, black chrome hardware, black headstock, etc. Feels like an extension of my body when I play it.

Anybody played a Givson? (not a spelling error) they are Indian and I got an electric for £65 (roughly $100) and it's excellent, a beaut!!

Ibanez EP-7 Euphoria looks SWEET! Haven't played it tho, it's Steve Vai's signature acoustic.

Ahh.. The age old Taylor vs. Martin disscusion. Taylor kicks every martin in the butt except for the John Mayer sig model.*angels sing at the sight of this guitar* Also, I wish I had a Collings OM1. For those who dont know, Chris Tomlins main acoustic is a Collings.

Taylor is a big name, and I guess they earned it. They're good. But they all sound the same as other guitars of the same model. Not that it's bad- it's just you won't find spectacular Taylors.
Not that I care- they're all good. I have a Taylor 310ce, not a bad guitar at all.

But if it's acoustic you're looking for, you could try to get a used Larrivee. Those things sound sooooo good. Well, they're getting big now, so quality is more or less "big factory" level, or getting that way now.
But they're much cheaper than Taylors, sound as good if not better... if you can find an older model.

Breedloves, love 'em or hate 'em, I guess. Some sound awesome- just gotta find the great ones. They're also less than durable, I hear, and rmills' testimonial gives evidence to that claim...
But hey, Shane Barnard plays a Breedlove and it sounds sweeeeeeet.
