Read in the gospels about Christ hanging on the cross and the thief asking Christ to remember him. Christ says THIS DAY thou shall be with me in paradise. If you die in Christ you instantly go to heaven to be with Him! On the last day there will be a ressurection of our bodies, but our spirits go to be with God. If not how would it be possible for Christ to talk to Moses when He was transfigured on the mountain?? Praise be to our merciful God!

Also look at the rich king and the poor begger story in the Gospels

And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

Luk 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

Luk 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

Luk 16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

Luk 16:26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that [would come] from thence.

Actually,

No one had ascended to Heaven at the time Christ came to earth (John 3:13). Why? Because the atonement hadn't yet occured to made such even possible.

Furthermore, Jesus promised his apostles that they could come and join him in Heaven ONLY once he had returned at his second coming to receive them there (John 14:1-3).

Souls in the Old Testament times went to Hades, which was not Heaven nor Hell. If Christ has not yet returned from Heaven, then that's where all souls still are.

yes sarkazma...many things...and I tell you, when my purpose here on earth is done, my mission fulfilled...I don't want to be here 1 second longer than I have to...as much as I love life, that is how wonderful I felt then...still to this day, I dream about it...and you'll see one day as well exactly what I am talking about...if you want to know specifics...just let me know...

Hi guys,

I was listening to a guy who said something really interesting. It makes a lot of sense to me. Here goes.

In the beginning God... and he called the light day and the darkness night. Therefore, God created time, but is no inside or restrained by time. When we die, we may also go out of the restraints of time and therefore, go directly into the rapture even though it hasn't happened yet here on earth.

I have no idea if I'm making this clear.

2 Cor. 5:8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

Of course we live so close to the end of the age of grace, there will be those of us who do not die. But will be transformed when Jesus comes for His bride.

I wonder at times if that will not take place during a big world wide nuclear war. Esp. after seeing so many bodies disappear at the world trade center. So the world will think the people were just vaporized in the war. But actually they will have gone to be with Jesus.
