Sabian may I just ask you why the great importance on the name and in what language and the pronunciation?
My study on the Name of YAH has shown , and taught me more then any other subject. Example Sabbath, Atonement,Feast days, Fasting,Grace, Faith, the LAW... There is alot of meaning in names and word that contain YAH and EL. Within the Aramaic Language was the start of hiding the name. Looking at the English tranlations the name is almost non-exsistant.
But I find that the Roots of this started in the Aramaic language.

How much can you learn by looking at scripture in English?
Does scripture lose meaning through Translation/ Tranliteration?
If Aramaic Is allso the wrong language to study scripture in,
I personally would like to Know and understand why?
Why did the temple Preist hold on to the Hebrew as their language?
I find more understanding in the Hebrew.

I'm studying the book of DaniEL now.
Because of it us of EL, ELAH, ELOHIM, and ELAHHAW.
Or in the english God.
Is the name important to you?
Why?
Is English OK with you? Why?
Is Aramaic OK with YOU? Why?
I understand the the Hebrew language has also been corrupted, But I find much greater understanding In the Hebrew.

I have something else I would like to throw into the mix at this time. Moses wrote the first five books of the Christian Bible, or the Torah as it is also referred to. Moses was very influential in the scriptures, and his writings are still very influential today.

What was the primary language of Moses?

A) A dialect of Arabic

B) Hebrew

C) Aramaic

My guess would be (A) seeing as how he was raised in Pharoah's house. Considering the Pharoah's rather sinister attitudes towards the Israelites, I think it is safe to assume the Egyptian tongue would be a priority for Moses to learn.

Sabian, Im not sure how fair this response is. You gave a similar answer to me once.

I dont think you are gonna find anyone here who thinks the original languages of the OT and NT are irrelevant. I myself am learning the Greek, as I study the NT the most. But it *appears* you are harping on the importance of languages for the purpose of getting God's name pronounced exactly right, and I think that is a bit misguided. If you spend all yout time studying vowel sounds, odds are you are going to overlook other things that may help you understand Him better, rather than His name. ;)

hi superman, I would have to disagree with you there.
If Sabian does actually find the name- then power is with him. However, he may also die because it.
Instead of being preserved by the name one could be destroyed by the name.
If he finds the name and walks in it (the torah, etc) he will live forever, for he has found a tree of life.
I do KNOW that HaShem;s name is two syllables and contained in @HY@H and YkVk.
these are two 2 syllables and we know how the first is pronounced, however how is the second?
we say it contains an "ah" and "ey" sound between the consonants.
And as far as the name of the "attribute" of HaShem called "the son of THE ADAM"- Heyn. has a point that his name is only "salvation" and NOT yehoshua/yahushua- yehoshua would connotate that "YK is salvation", the second would say "YK,he is salvation".
both the same thing, however, a point was indeed brough up that this name upon a man is in expectence of YK being that persons salvation, it is a plead of the person holding that name to HaShem.
However, Messiah is different.
Messiah is salvation, thus his name is "Yeshua"
not Yahushua, he in hopes that G-D would save him.
However, the only thing we have are evidences not proof's of anything right now. However, i lean more toward Yeshua than yahushua.
He is not in expectance for His fathers salvation.
Notice how the talmudists played with his name.
from yeshua(salvation) to yeshu(may his name be blotted out)

the same with shomrim(watchers/watchmen) to shomronim(samaritans)
and notice our play on with words.
after being called shomrim and put down with shomronim we chose notzrim
having the connection with netzaret where mashiach was born
the connection with netzer, the branch.
so we thus became keepers/watchers of the vineyard.
WE, DO HAVE RIGHT to change the name of Messiah- but if you want to take it to where it was before then the name is Yeshua. However, you do have right to change it to Yahushua.

the same way we had right to change the name of our sect from shomrim to notzrim.
