I do not like the taste of coffee at all  but I love the smell!! :)

:) That seems to be pretty common with a lot of people. Coffee does, indeed, smell very good. But rarely does it taste as good as it smells. If coffee is made right (with the right beans, etc.) it can taste as good as it smells. Add a little cream and sugar and I guarantee that you'd really like it. ;)

Same here; love the smell, hate the taste.

Good idea starting off easy - my very first post I jumped into a creation vs evolution debate between Follower of Christ (hard-core creationist) and FragmentsOfDreams (hard-core liberal) and found myself a bit out of depth :)

Aahhh, the graveyard-shift blend. I've had to partake of that on many occasion.

Thanks all for your responses.

There wasn't one that says "Don't get between me and the coffee pot in the morning!"
I drink coffee and the stronger the better.
Yes. There's nothing like a good, strong cup of "real" coffee. I can't stand that stuff made in offices across the country that passes for "coffee". It's nothing but burnt water. :)

There are many resturants that brew good pots of coffee, and I'll drink that (and enjoy it). Alternatively, there's nothing like a good, strong "flavor of the day" from a caffe. ;)

I am a coffee lover. Have been for decades. If you don't like coffee because you think it tastes bad...then you probably just haven't tried good coffee. Although I'll agree that Coffee is one of those aquired tastes for some. Just like beer.

Most cheap brands that you get at the store are bitter. Yeah, they smell good, but they're nasty...and they make your breath smell nasty too.

If you want a good tasting coffee, do yourself a favor and buy a better coffee. Starbucks is really good. I prefer the House blend or Columbian myself.

Coffee is one of those things where it's not better to get 10 lbs for $8.00, but 1 lbs. for $8.00. Coffee is in the "you get what you pay for" catagory. ;)
