Ecc 3:1 There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven--

Ecc 3:2 A time to give birth and a time to die; A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.

Ecc 3:3 A time to kill and a time to heal; A time to tear down and a time to build up.

Ecc 3:4 A time to weep and a time to laugh; A time to mourn and a time to dance.

Ecc 3:5 A time to throw stones and a time to gather stones; A time to embrace and a time to shun embracing.

Ecc 3:6 A time to search and a time to give up as lost; A time to keep and a time to throw away.

Ecc 3:7 A time to tear apart and a time to sew together; A time to be silent and a time to speak.

Ecc 3:8 A time to love and a time to hate; A time for war and a time for peace.

Ecc 3:9 What profit is there to the worker from that in which he toils?

Ecc 3:10 I have seen the task which God has given the sons of men with which to occupy themselves.

Ecc 3:11 He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end.

1 John 1:19 ~ If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Blessed be the name of the Lord for His loving kindness. I am so thankful that I can come to Him, knowing that He will not hold a grudge against me when I repent of my sin. He is quick to forgive and forget. Blessed is His holy name. :bow:

Micah 7:18-20 said:
Where is another God like you, who pardons the sins of the survivors among his people? You cannot stay angry with your people forever, because you delight in showing mercy. Once again you will have compassion on us. You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them into the depths of the ocean! You will show us your faithfulness and unfailing love as you promised with an oath to our ancestors Abraham and Jacob long ago.
Psalms 135:13-15 said:
Your name, O LORD, endures forever;
your fame, O LORD, is known to every generation.
For the LORD will vindicate his people
and have compassion on his servants.
Proverbs 30:5-6 said:
Every word of God proves true. He defends all who come to him for protection. Do not add to his words, or he may rebuke you, and you will be found a liar.

II Timothy 1:7
"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

This verse has been a bulwark for me, intrinsically necessary in grasping, remembering Who God is, and that in this verse alone we can see how He transforms us and equips us to:

conquer fear
be empowered
love as He does
be balanced

I used this one when my ex was calling me crazy for my belief in Christ, during our split. ^_^ Sure helped 'hide it in my heart'.

It gave me great joy to have some brothers come and tell about your faithfulness to the truth and how you continue to walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

Dear friend, you are faithful in what you are doing for the brothers, even though they are strangers to you. They have told the church about your love. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God.

It was for the sake of the Name that they went out, receiving no help from the pagans. We ought therefore to show hospitality to such men so that we may work together for the truth.

Psa 24:1 The earth is the LORD's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

Psa 24:2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

Psa 24:3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?

Psa 24:4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

Psa 24:5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

The LORD is a jealous God, filled with vengeance and wrath. He takes revenge on all who oppose him and furiously destroys his enemies! The LORD is slow to get angry, but his power is great, and he never lets the guilty go unpunished. He displays his power in the whirlwind and the storm. The billowing clouds are the dust beneath his feet.

The LORD is good. When trouble comes, he is a strong refuge. And he knows everyone who trusts in him. But he sweeps away his enemies in an overwhelming flood. He pursues his foes into the darkness of night.

Psalm 18 6- 19
6 In my distress I called to the LORD ;

I cried to my God for help.

From his temple he heard my voice;

my cry came before him, into his ears.

7 The earth trembled and quaked,

and the foundations of the mountains shook;

they trembled because he was angry.

8 Smoke rose from his nostrils;

consuming fire came from his mouth,

burning coals blazed out of it.

9 He parted the heavens and came down;

dark clouds were under his feet.

10 He mounted the cherubim and flew;

he soared on the wings of the wind.

11 He made darkness his covering, his canopy around him-

the dark rain clouds of the sky.

12 Out of the brightness of his presence clouds advanced,

with hailstones and bolts of lightning.

13 The LORD thundered from heaven;

the voice of the Most High resounded. [c]

14 He shot his arrows and scattered the enemies ,

great bolts of lightning and routed them.

15 The valleys of the sea were exposed

and the foundations of the earth laid bare

at your rebuke, O LORD ,

at the blast of breath from your nostrils.

16 He reached down from on high and took hold of me;

he drew me out of deep waters.

17 He rescued me from my powerful enemy,

from my foes, who were too strong for me.

18 They confronted me in the day of my disaster,

but the LORD was my support.

19 He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.

~ Micah 6:8 NLT ~ The LORD has already told you what is good, and this is what he requires: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

More simplicity. I guess its only in disobedience that we find it so hard, eh. ;)

Silas and Timothy are with Paul now...

For we know, brothers loved by God, that he has chosen you, because our gospel came to you not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake. You became imitators of us and of the Lord; in spite of severe suffering, you welcomed the message with the joy given by the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 2:1-12 since this is the Christmas season and we know that wise men still seek Christ.
Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the King behold there came wisemen from the east to Jerusalem saying where is he that is born King of the Jews for we have seen his star in the east and have come to worship him.
Now when Herod heard these things he was troubled and all Jerusalem with Him.
And when he had gathered all the chief priests and the scribes together he demanded of them where the Christ should be born. And they said in Bethlehem of Judea for thus it is written by the prophet and though Bethlehem in the land of Judah are not the least among princes of Judah for out of thee shall come a govenor to rule my people Israel.
Then Herod when he had privily called the Wise men inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared: and he sent them to Bethlehem and said go and search diligently for the young child and when you have found him bring me word that I may come and worship him also.
And when they had heard the King they departed and lo the star which they saw in the east went before them and stood over where the young child was.
When they saw the star they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
And when they were entered into the house where the young child and Mary his mother and fell down and worshipped him and when they had opened their treasures they presented unto him gifts of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh.
And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod they departed to their own country another way.

This verse has always been like God embracing me. The simplicity and completeness of it speaks clearly of Who God is. How I love what Abba says He wants from us. It's like He ties it up in a pretty ribbon and gives it to us with a big grin, because He knows that He will work in our hearts the changes necessary to be able to do all three.

...to do justly-don't you love it?
...to love mercy-doesn't your heart rejoice?
...to walk humbly with our God-isn't this why we're here? Why we were born?

Isn't it reassuring and refreshing to hear right from God Himself what He requires? It reminds me of what Jesus said about His yoke being easy.

Micah 6:8 is one of the most awesome verses I've ever read. Thank you for sharing.

Habakkuks Prayer

This prayer was sung by the prophet Habakkuk:

I have heard all about you, LORD, and I am filled with awe by the amazing things you have done. In this time of our deep need, begin again to help us, as you did in years gone by. Show us your power to save us. And in your anger, remember your mercy.

I see God, the Holy One, moving across the deserts from Edom and Mount Paran. His brilliant splendor fills the heavens, and the earth is filled with his praise! What a wonderful God he is! Rays of brilliant light flash from his hands. He rejoices in his awesome power. Pestilence marches before him; plague follows close behind. When he stops, the earth shakes. When he looks, the nations tremble. He shatters the everlasting mountains and levels the eternal hills. But his power is not diminished in the least! I see the peoples of Cushan and Midian trembling in terror.

Was it in anger, LORD, that you struck the rivers and parted the sea? Were you displeased with them? No, you were sending your chariots of salvation! You were commanding your weapons of power! You split open the earth with flowing rivers! The mountains watched and trembled. Onward swept the raging waters. The mighty deep cried out, lifting its hands to the LORD. The lofty sun and moon began to fade, obscured by brilliance from your arrows and the flashing of your glittering spear.

You marched across the land in awesome anger and trampled the nations in your fury. You went out to rescue your chosen people, to save your anointed ones. You crushed the heads of the wicked and laid bare their bones from head to toe. With their own weapons, you destroyed those who rushed out like a whirlwind, thinking Israel would be easy prey. You trampled the sea with your horses, and the mighty waters piled high.

I trembled inside when I heard all this; my lips quivered with fear. My legs gave way beneath me, and I shook in terror. I will wait quietly for the coming day when disaster will strike the people who invade us. Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vine; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation. The Sovereign LORD is my strength! He will make me as surefooted as a deer and bring me safely over the mountains. (For the choir director: This prayer is to be accompanied by stringed instruments.)

Isa 18:2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

Psa 18:3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Psa 18:4 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.

Psa 18:5 The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.

Psa 18:6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

Psa 18:17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.

Psa 18:18 They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.

Psa 18:19 He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.

Psa 18:20 The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

~ Acts 10:15 ~ “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”

God has purified all who receive Christ as Lord and Savior. No matter what walk of live, what experiences or upbringing we may have, under the blood of the Lamb, and the washing of His Word, we are made clean. :amen:
