Nice to meet you. My name is Roberta. I am also living in my husbands hometown. I left all of my family and friends behind to come here. It can be very difficult when you are in a new place and you don't know anyone.

Good to have you amongst us... I've only been here a couple of weeks myself but thoroughly enjoying the company - it's a good place to be! I look forward to getting to know you better...

Forgive me if I'm stating the obvious, but if you're new in town and haven't made any friends yet, then my tip would be to go to a church. I've always found it the best place to make friends.

Further suggestion - try and find a live, Bible-believing, loving church where you feel welcome....good hunting!

I believe the forum was only started in November of last year, so everyone is kinda new--so, just jump right in. I'm looking forward to getting to know you.

Only visited Oregon once, but it seemed like a beautiful place.
