Jesus as a thief (secrect rapture), In Glory @ end of trib?

Huh? What is your view on the rapture? I guess I didn't udnerstand it frm your two posts.

I'm pre-trib myself. And I will post supporting verses later after I find out your views.

pre/post/mid trib.. who knows? is there really gonna be a rapture at all?

gjigt.com is informative and partly right (he's kjo though, so biased somewhat, and not hebraic i think.). but he is accurate about current war and Scriptural prophecy about the usa/bush.

yeshuaslavejeff the antichrist is alive and here on earth, HUH? yes he's here his garments have been made his tech.has been here people are being decieved left n right and fires and storms are increasingly worse so theres no doubt that he's alive an here but rather than preaching his coming to power i'd rather spend my time preaching JESUS cause HIS coming is better than the anti christ

I lean toward post-trib myself and I thought I had heard all the support for it-- but Engrapho, you completely lost me.

How can he be right since North America is never mention in scripture either by name or in an imply-ed manner? Please show me verses that prove me wrong?

Personally I am a Pan-Trib. (It will all pan-out as God planned it).

When I hear people talking the way you have, I am reminded of a verse of scripture which says: "Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh." Mt 25:13

Also remember that the disciples thought Christ would return in their day and 2000 years have past. Now we know by the scripture that Jesus will return and the Anti-Christ will first appear but the time of either Christ's return or the showing up of the Anti-Christ is known to man.

This I know is that the return of Christ for some has already taken place. My father for example was raptured by way of the grave on July 1st, 1997 and my mother one year and seven days later. So rather than worrying about end time prophecy it be-hooves us all to be warning those around us and preparing ourselves to be ready to go tonite.

i lean towrd duel raptures on at the beginning of the tribulation and then the final one afterwards

I love how people quote vs 2 and 3, but forget the rest of the passage.

"rapture" comes from the latin word, "rapere" - the vulgate translation of the Bible from 1 thess.4:17
the english word "rapture" expresses the phrase in scripture, "we shall be caught up"

so the word is there.. depending on what language you speak.
but here's a couple of words that cant be found..
would anyone like to do a Bible search to find the word "trinity".. or how bout "Bible"?

The whole point here is be ready whenever He calls the church home. I started out as a pre-trib believer, but in my studies, that has completely changed, as I find no real support for that viewpoint-only wishful thinking.

If there is a tribulation, then the church will go through it, Here is the first Bible text that began to change my mind.

Matthew 13 (NASB)

24. He presented another parable to them, saying, "The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field.
25. "But while men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed tares also among the wheat, and went away.
26. "But when the wheat sprang up and bore grain, then the tares became evident also.
27. "And the slaves of the landowner came and said to him, `Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?'
28. "And he said to them, `An enemy has done this!' And the slaves said to him, `Do you want us, then, to go and gather them up?'
29. "But he said, `No; lest while you are gathering up the tares, you may root up the wheat with them.
30. `Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, "First gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into my barn

A few verses later, of course, Jesus explains the parable.

36. Then He left the multitudes, and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, "Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field."
37. And He answered and said, "The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man,
38. and the field is the world; and as for the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil one;
39. and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are angels.
40. "Therefore just as the tares are gathered up and burned with fire, so shall it be at the end of the age.
41. "The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness,
42. and will cast them into the furnace of fire; in that place there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
43. "Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.

Notice who is is that is taken out first-it is not the believers in Chirst! The evil, or unbelievers are the ones who go first.

pre-trib, post-trip. Does any of it really matter? Jesus is coming back, and if you just pay attention, you'll be able to feel it. just about every christian i've talked to can feel it. and I know some who feel something, they feel something big is going to happen, but they havn't decided what yet. But he is coming back soon.

That is exactly what I said at the beginning of my last post. In reality, it matters not--just be ready!

Here is another one that changed my thinking.

Matthew 24

29. "But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken,
30. and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.
31. "And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

After the sun is darkened, after the moon loses it's light, after the stars are no more, THEN will He send for the elect, and note, with a great trumpet. We know that Paul tells us:

1 Corinthians 15

51. Behold, I tell you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52. in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.

And in 1 Thessalonians 4

15. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, and remain until the coming of the Lord, shall not precede those who have fallen asleep.
16. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first.
17. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord.

The elect must be gathered after the dead in Christ rise; and since there is a trumpet call to the elect after events in Revelation, there could not have been a previous call to the church!
