The Other Limbaugh: New Book Call To Arms Agains Christian Persecution...

Please CHRISTIAN BRETHREN!!!!! Stay or should I say START GETTING "TOO PARANOID!"

I just pray some of those FAIR AND BALANCED liberals who care for Both sides of the fence will voice some outrage about the man from Saskatchewan who has been fined recently for publishing Bible Verses in opposition of homosexuality!

Oh ya and the subsequent Canadian parliament that just made any speech against "SEXUAL ORIENTATION" as HATE SPEECH punishable by prison terms. ((Too Clarify -- THE BIBLE = HATE SPEECH! = PRISON!))

Yeah.......just turn on the t.v. and read a random paper or magazine and you'll see tons of Christian affairs and stories.......:(
Well, there are a number of channels that are dedicated to Christianity. Many sitcoms and dramas have people that are predominantly Christian, and usually the only atheists are the rebellious kids. There's a religion section on Sundays on my paper that have mostly to do with Christianity than any other religion although once I saw an article about Wicca in there. Everywhere I go people end up talking about their faith, and I'm always singled out. Hell, at my school there was a Christian athletics teams and posters all over the school trying to get people the join. It's apparent what Christians are trying to do.

"I would love to believe that when I die I will live again, that some thinking, feeling, remembering part of me will continue. But as much as I want to believe that, and despite the ancient and worldwide cultural traditions that assert an afterlife, I know of nothing to suggest that it is more than wishful thinking."
- Carl Sagan
I noticed your quote on your sig. I used to read a lot of Sagan. Many times in his books he would come to a point that he would be faced with the possibility of God, but due to his pride he couldn't accept that there are just some things that can't be explained by man and he would turn from that and assume another possibility.

"Extraodinary claims requires extraodinary evidence." Carl Sagan. Carl Sagan repeated asked for extraodinary evidence of God and received nothing, and even on his death bed he never recanted.

if it was handled the right way, um, should i say, the Godly way, then it's ok, but humans tend to walk the other direction if left to our own device.
I completely understand.

Good point about Canada. One just has to look to the "hate speech" laws in other countries to see where we are headed.

Just look at what the French did to Brigitte Bardot.

Since this isn't the topic of this thread, and I'm guilty of creating this tangent, this will be my last post on this tangent. Science makes many extraordinary claims and I've yet to see the extraordinary evidence to support them. Ok, I'm done...I could see this decaying into an evolution vs. creation debate.:D

It's hard to imagine how a minority that is less than 10% of the population and has 0% representation among elected officials and judges, is somehow able to persecute the vast majority of people through the legal institutions they set up.

It boggles the mind, even for a conspiracy theory.

Science's extraodinary claims have extraodinary evidence, but of course someone didn't do their research. :|

Since when do political books that attack a group of people usually have ample evidence supporting their claims? I don't take political books seriously because they always exaggerate claims no matter which political agenda they support. This book will only cause more backlash against the political groups instead of working to be cooperative with each other against the real evils of this world.

Personally, the only political books I might enjoy reading are those based on personal experiences and what they believe is good for the world without attacking another political party. Biased political books, even by Michael Moore whom I support, usually exaggerate the data and look at the bad side of the opposite political party. In my opinion, each political party has done a lot of wrong, and it's up to those that really care to stop pointing fingers at each other and clean up the ****ing mess we started.

Everyone here regardless of Religion or Political beliefs needs to read Pastor Richard Wurmbrands book "Tortured for Christ" -- tortured 14 years in a Romanian Prison under Communism.
http://www.persecution.com/link/06storyb.cfm
YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET HIS BOOK FREE From this web site if not there are other sites on the NET that offer it FREE! (But I love this site, it is VOICE OF THE MARTYRS site.)

If you ever thought that the Western Church cared TOO MUCH, you are sorely mistaken. We dont care enough about ANYTHING! Neither domestic issues NOR our brethren whom are tortured, mutilated, and murdered abroad!. He recounts horrific stories of himself and others being tortured, watching their children murdered because they would not renounce Christ, forced to eat unwashed Intestines for sustinence, forced to stand in a box filled with nails for hours so that if they waivered an inch they were pierced, beaten to DEATH, and all the while that these people who were and many who still are being TORTURED for Jesus their children were being taught to HATE Christianity and religion or forced to become prostitutes to keep the family from starving...... and on and on and on. Pastor Wurmbrand says he cannot even tell us the bad stuff, that was just the stuff that is bearable to speak of.

One qoute from a communist torturer "I thank God, of whom I dont believe, that I was born during this time so I could allow all the evil inside of me to come out." ---it's real.

And we, the American Church would rather not GET INVOLVED because, well we are just being Paranoid! Let's call it like it is, it is lies straight from hell that allowed hundreds of thousands to be murdered in Russia and Romania and are still murdering thousands of UNDERGROUND christians in China, Pakistan, India, etc.

We cannot afford to stop caring anymore than we already have NO MATTER WHAT the issue is. I assume those on the other side would also have us believe that Communists have no agenda to infiltrate our country and slowly remove God? --DO NOT BELIEVE THEM! As Nikita Krushev said -- we cannot expect America to accept Communism, but if we slowly introduce Socialism then one day they will wake up and find that they have Communism.

I THINK IT IS TIME TO WAKE UP a little early, because that day is COMING!

(Of course, we will now hear how this is ridiculous conspiracy theories. - The same thing I'm sure would have been said just a few years ago if you tried to tell someone that TODAY "Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of Religion" means that a State Judge cannot display a STATUE in a STATE building. -- The Godless society is approaching fast and it is FINALLY time to slam on the Brakes!)

This is OUR COUNTRY Believers, we have the Majority if we all stand up, we need not fear THEIR RHETORIC, and those that try and produce CHRISTAPHOBES, LETS RISE UP, GET ACTIVE, TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK, LEAN ON COMMUNIST AND EXTREMIST MUSLIM COUNTRIES TO STOP THE MURDER AND PERSECUTION and Make this WORLD A BETTER PLACE! -- That is the whole sum of the matter. We either will do this or we will eventually lose everything.

You guys are hilarious with the conspiracy stuff. When will you realize that we don't give a **** about what you want to believe and have a lot better things to do than stamp out religion.

I loved the Mojave Cross story. So any wack-o can nail two boards together and stick them on public land, replace the boards with some ugly steel pipes, then claim they are a historic war memorial that should be protected as a national landmark. Oh, curse those anti-christian bigots who want to destroy every little thing!

XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX MON SEPT 22, 2003 13:44:25 ET XXXXX

*A New Jersey teacher was forced by an ACLU suit to abandon plans to take children to see the Broadway version of “A Christmas Carol.”
Not quite. in fact, a lie.

From FreeRepublic.

Religious concerns no factor, officals say

South Orange-Maplewood School Superintendent Peter Horoschak said the trip to see the play in Morristown was canceled initially because the teacher told parents about the trip before it was formally approved by the district. Horoschak also said the play did not tie into the school's curriculum, which is the policy for district field trips.

"We have very serious demands about how much time we have on task for our core courses," Horoschak said. "We don't take holiday trips just because it's that time of year; we have to be careful of how we use our kids' time." He said other field trips, including a request to see the movie "Harry Potter," have been canceled this year because of the curriculum issue.

The story that the play was canceled because of religious reasons continued to circulate around the school. It has appeared in newspaper articles in Atlanta and in a national column by Cal Thomas. In addition, Uhlman recently appeared on the Fox television show "The O'Reilly Factor" to discuss the topic.

Horoschak said the publicity is especially upsetting because there was no outcry from parents when the play was canceled. He said the notion that the cancellation was because of religion is simply untrue.

"It's not that it's not okay to go to 'A Christmas Carol.' It has nothing to do with the religious content. We didn't see 'A Christmas Carol' as being a religious presentation."

From the FreeRepublic. Not a liberal organization by a long shot.

Neither do I see any mention of the ACLU in the story.

This is just one more example of trumped up lies from the far right.

I think it will wake up those Christians that have blocked out the possibility that this is actually, or could actually, happen.
Agreed. I'm (conservative and yet) not a Rush Limbaugh devotee and not familiar with his brother, but this is a message that needs to be heard. Too many people have their heads buried in the sand and although Jesus is coming back, it could be a while yet (and we're obligated to fight evil/corruption while praising Him, even unto the last second).

what the far right lie!!! Say it is not so......

What was that bit about bearing false witness?
I guess it's OK to bear false witness when it's against the far-right's favorite whipping boy, the ACLU.

They seem to love to claim that the ACLU is involved in everything that they don't like. I even saw an article once (WorldNetDaily) that accused the ACLU of trying to stop a school girl from giving out christian candy canes in school. It was true that the ACLU was involved. But the ACLU was supporting the girl and her right to give out the candy canes!

The term lying for Jesus come to mind...
