I'm in Deltona, FL - right between Orlando (theme parks and lots of foreign people!) and Daytona (bike week, spring break, bar fights and beaches you can drive on). In my town, we aren't really famous, but all the roads look like a big spaghetti bowl, and sometimes even the natives get lost and can't find their way out. I once had a friend visit and get totally lost even though he's been to my house quite a few times already.

Well, we're about twenty miles east of the Horse Capital (ol?) of the World, Lexington... but other than that, we're kind of boring. I think my county has the fourth highest teen pregnancy rate, though.. so I guess that's sort of (in)famous.

My dad, however, lives in Lebanon, TN, which I believe is the Antique Capital(ol?) of the South.

Edit: Oh yeah! Winchester has the oldest drive-in that is still in use!
are you in lexington Tn? i'm in linden tn...in the county north of me lives the famous country singer Lorretta Lynn. they call Perry county "the gateway to fun" LOL there are signs when you enter the county. its espeically ironic b/c there is NOTHING HERE! lol

Where I am from we have a few famous things:

Kermit the frog museum. Kermit the frog was made where I am from.
The blues festival.
The town next to mine has B.B. King.
The annual Christmas on the Creek happens - very awesome light show for such a small town.

Being from Middle Tennessee and living in East Tennessee there are a lot of things that we are famous for, I'm originally from Pikeville and we have a state park that we share with the next county over where they have made two movies, King Kong Lives and The Jungle Book....

Knoxville where I live now is home to the Tennessee Vols woooooooooohooooooo goooooooooooo big orange. Kenny Chesney grew up not to far from here and he attend college in Knoxville.

Also I found out not to long ago that one of the worst killing sprees in American history started here in Knoxville ending somewhere up north. If I can find it Ill post it if you want to read it. Not to many people know about cause it happened like like 200 years ago. I might be off a bit about the time frame.

Oh yeah we are also famous for the Smokey Mountains......Wish that I was on ole Rocky Top .................

God bless

Kentucky Derby...Louisville Slugger Baseball Bats...St. James Court Art Festival...Thunder Over Louisville is the biggest fireworks evar!!! Seriously, if you think you've seen fireworks, you just wait. The finale lights up the whole riverfront as if it were daytime, and you can feel your leg hairs shaking. Even if you're a girl, they just shake inside your skin. Plus you're only an hour from the best college basketball team in the world, the Kentucky Wildcats. Did I mention there are some awesome restuarants? Thought so.

Kissybug27...I LOVE FCF State Park!!! I hike the gorge there often. Lots of fun stories.

I'm currently in Colombia, South America. Anyone care to guess what it's famous for?? Yep...three things really: Coffee, Drug cartel, and Guerilla warfare.
