I'd probably leave and go back to Europe or America.

I'd certainly tear down the settlements and exit the West Bank and Gaza and then watch with glee as the various Palestinian factions tear themselves apart. I can't imagine that the settlements are worth the headache.

If America can justify trying to kill other leaders in the name of peace....then where is America when Israel needs our support? We didnt waste any time going into afghanistan after 9-11 happened. Israel has a "9-11" on their hands every day, and we just look the other way. Bravo.

We can't they can't. Killing people because you "suspect" they might be terrorists is medeval. The GOvernments of Israel and the United States should be on trial before the world court.

Yep, and that's just one of many things we turn our back on :(

Arafat is not a SUSPECTED terrorist, he is one, plain and simple. Ok, so maybe just going over there and wiping him out is a bit drastic..we should try to come up with a peace plan first. Oh, wait a minute, we did and it's going nowhere fast. So we give Israel money and that makes it ok for the U.S. not to support them on this subject...why is that again?

These posts are interesting to read alongside the claims that our law was founded upon the Ten Commandments. How do you keep your heads from exploding?

"Cognitive dissonance" is when one believes two opposing things at the same time. Many "Christians" claim to follow Christ's example while simultaneously supporting murder. Each soul will invariably reap what they have sown, whether for life or destruction.

It is only a matter of time before the heads of those opposed to Christ "explode".

Arafat is not hiding anywhere. Why would you kill someone you could simply arrest and put on trial?

For Israel to bring Arafat to trial (presumably at the world court) would mean that Israel is willing to acknowledge the descisions of the U.N. (which they do not). In so doing, they would be accountable, in the same court, for the crimes they have comitted. This they are not willing to do. It is much less expensive for them to assassinate him. But then, if they did that, they would have to invent (or finance) another boogey-man to justify their "retaliations". As it is, Arafat is an HUGE asset to Israel. By killing him, world opinion would be against Israel, but by keeping him alive Israel can justify their "retaliations" of thefts and murders.

If Israel had no one using violence in response to their violent actions, then they would soon be shown as the beast that they are. This contrast is not so readily apparent when there are two beasts fighting each other.

Not during times of war. Sorry, but Arafat, IMO, has declared war on Israel without having the guts to formally declare one.
That was a senseless post. He has declared war on Israel without actually doing it?

Arafat's whereabouts are well known. He can be arrested and put on trial by Israeli authorities. The only reason to kill him would be to satisfy bloodlust.
