LOL, my biggest collection is on the hard drive. I think I have several hundred MB of anime-related pics or gifs, everything from a lot of screenshots (thanks to the bishounen.net gallery LOL) and one or two cels to gifs to parts of websites-a lot of stuff.

As for other, more tangible collectibles, I only have two Miyazaki DVDs (although that situation should be improving whenever I get enough money and time to buy more), and I'm probably buying a Hello Kitty, Ein, or Kuroneko keychain next month (depending on which one I can find around here ~.^ although the San Diego area is supposed to be one of the best places for finding anime and related items, it's hard for me to find anything I want offline *begs someone to open up a store in one of the malls in El Cajon or La Mesa that doesn't charge Suncoast's ridiculous prices*)

I have Slayers, Slayers Next, and Record of Lodoss War. Lisa Oritz and Megumi Hayashibara RULE!

Susan, is one of the two miyazaki movies you own Warriors of the Wind?

For those of you interested in seeing more anime, goto www.animesuki.com for free anime you can download. Don't worry, this is more or less an online fansubing service, any anime that get's liscenced gets taken off.

We use animesuki. com for Naruto episodes - up to episode 47, or something. I love Slayers, Ajnin.

Oh yeah, Susan, if you want cheaper anime - I can't say cheap because anime is never cheap - you should try Gamestop or Best Buy. In Texas, anyway, I can get DVD's for $10 - $12 cheaper *woo hoo*. I can also put holds on my favorite series for five bucks at Gamestop.

Try it out. ^-^

No, I own two of the American releases, Spirited Away and Castle in the Sky. I want Warriors of the Wind, but I'm waiting for it to be officially released (I'm an anti-fansub person LOL)
Oh, but Warriors of the wind has been offically released......

What's wrong with fansubing?

No, I didn't. That makes me want the original LOL.

Fansubbing licensed works is piracy, and I totally disapprove of piracy in any form.

Sorry, but I don't want to be in an expensive lawsuit or get thrown in jail-or even run the risk of that happening. If it means I have to wait a few years or spend more money to do things legally, I will.

Yeah, it is. Anime News Network has some articles on the (il)legality of fansubbing if you want to check them out. I can't post a direct link here because of the content of an e-mail exchange between ANN and Anime Junkies included in one of those articles, but fansubbing licensed series is theft.

Er, they're talking about liscenced for the US. If an anime isn't licenced for the US it's fair game to fansub, if it is, it ain't.

The reason ANN was so mad at Anime Junkies was not because Anime Junkies had fansubbed a anime and was releasing it for public consumption, but because it was releasing an anime that was liscenced in the US.

What do you think licensed means anyways?

I love anime too. I have Slayers, Legend of Crystania, Tekken, and almost the entire series of Sorcerer Hunters. My buddy also has quite a few Jap dvds, mostly Yugioh though. I even have Princess Mononoke on Dvd. These shows are all really cool, although Sorcerer Hunters has alot of sexual references.
