"WHY DID 9-11 HAPPEN - AMERICA THE MODERN SODDOM & GAMORRAH?"

While in small New England town recently, I noted in a local newspaper a speaker at a local house of worship from a pro-sodomite group promoting "gay marriage." Curious, I dropped in to listen.

A young lady, a lawyer, spoke eloquently and was well educated in secular law. She spoke passionately, giving many reasons based on civil laws why we should have "gay marriage." She also identified herself as a person of faith.

I sat quietly and listened, pilling up imaginary dust and ashes upon my head at the words of such blasphemy.

When she finished, and asked for comments, I spoke:

1. In the beginning God created them man and woman, male and female.

2. A man shall leave his father and mother and be wed to his wife, and the two shall become as one.

3. God created marriage as one man and one woman.

4. No human law that violates God's laws are valid.

5. You are advocating human laws (gay marriage) that are in direct violation of God's laws.

6. By doing so, you are working to bring down God's wrath upon all our people.

7. Thus, you are working for the destruction of our people (Americans) by God's judgement, as sure as was with Sodom and Gomorrah.

8. I beg you all to study the scriptures.

9. No such gathering, even if in a house of worship, can be holy if entertaining words that are directly contrary to God's laws.

10. Repent! Repent!

America has already forfeited the blessings and protections of our Creator due to abortion, contraception, husbandless mothers, fatherless children, atheism, evolutionism, socialism, love of money, worship of earthly treasures, murder, violence, debauchery, substance abuse, and now the rising tide of sodomy.

Such results show in our numbers of STDs, AIDS, illegitimate children, divorce, crime and most recently, Sept. 11. Divine judgement and punishment upon America are yet to come.

Even some Jewish and Christian Americans now embrace overt blasphemy, such as sodomy. If America's churches and synagogues defile what is holy, how is America to be spared for its evil doing?

The answer: America will not be spared. As we embrace ever more wicked civil laws and sinful behaviors, America moves ever closer to its final destiny, which is none other than that of Sodom and Gamorrah.

The visiting French Historian, Alexis De Toucqueville, in studying America in the 1830's to determine the source of her success, concluded, "America is great because America is good. And if America ever ceases to be good, she will cease to be great."

9/11 happened because the US meddles, often violently, in the internal affairs of other countries.

We overthrow the Iranian gov't and establish a dictator who will give us oil. He is overthrown in a mass revolt. Fearing the revolt will spread, we arm and train a petty dictator in Iraq when he invades Iran. Later, we arm the Iranians against Iraq because we don't want the Iraqi dictator to get too powerful.

A few years later, the Iraq dictator sends signals that he wants to invade Kuwait. We privately signal that we consider that an internal affair and will not intervene. He invades Kuwait. We use that as a pretext to station hundreds of thousands of troops in the region. Why? Because we need our supply lines to the region's oil to remain stable.

Unfortunately, we had earlier armed and trained fundamentalist Muslims to fight communists in Afghanistan. These Muslims now consider the presence of a non-Muslim military in the Holy Land to be an affront to their God. In addition, they resent our continued support for the brutal and oppressive regime in Saudi Arabia.

They begin attacking us, claiming that we have no right to station troops in their holy lands, nor to meddle in the internal politics of the Islamic world.

After several attempts at major terrorist strikes on US soil, they finally succeed on 9-11.

This has nothing to do with God or religion, and much to do with foreign policy. As long as we play innocent and ask "why do they hate us?", then we will never solve the problem.

While I agree with some of the physical aspects of this analogy we all should spend some time looking into the Old Testament and see what happened to Israel when they turned their back on God. If God cannot spiritually get through to a Nation then He will use physical means to get their attention. 9-11 caused a lot of people to pray that had never prayed, it caused a lot of people that had not prayed for a long time to start praying again, and it caused many people to re-evaluate what it really important spiritually. Our Nation's pursit of sin has caused us to suffer in many ways that we otherwise would not have. Whether it is child pregnancy, drug abuse, fornication, broken homes, division within our Nation, home grown terrorism, and perhaps even 9-11.

9-11 happened because a bunch of people who thought they were doing something great for their religion hijacked some planes and flew them into buildings. (Can anyone say 'jihad') I'm sure most muslems, islams, buddhists are not radicals that want to go around blowing people up or fly planes into buildings, but I do think that there are some who really do believe that by doing these things they are pleasing their god. I'm not saying what they did was right, in our eyes it wasn't, but on the flip side, they dont see the bad in what happened.

Exactly,, look at what Muslim extemists have done to Afghanistan, parts of India, and to their own people who hold a different view of the Koran.

America, IMO, was a target because we supply Israel. Muslim extremists believe that a weaker America equals a weaker Israel, which is their prime target.

I believe if the Muslims can't change America's heart toward Israel, their next step will be to pressure other countries to change their hearts to America... Whether they do this peacefully or violently remains to be seen.

Pressure other countries to change their hearts against the U.S.? In light of the way things have been going lately, it doesn't seem like it would be hard to do. The people behind these kinds of attacks hate the 'infidels' I cant imagine anything is going to stop them from trying to terrorize people. Really, whats stopped them so far?

You know I think the scenario between the US in it's actions with a lot of countries is like the bully who extorts the weakers milk money everyday, and finally the weaker picks up a brick and knocks the you know what out of the bully. And then the bully rather than looking in the mirror at his actions, asks "What did you do that for?"
