Shalom all,

Sounds kind of strange saying shalom and Arafat in the same thread!!

I heard he collapsed in a meeting today.I didn't read specifics on it.

I don't know what difference it would make if any if he passed away, because the hate has been indoctrinated in them for so long, and and such young ages.I wonder even if someone rally serious about peace were to get elected there, would he/she be able to "be" peaceful, or would they be killed for even suggesting such?!

Either way, let's join in prayer ovet the peace of Jerusalem, and all Israel :prayer:

Shalom V' shalom

"PA officials said Arafat was suffering from a large gallstone, and denied that he has cancer. Sources close to the 75-year-old Arafat said he is very weak and needs much medical attention. His declining health has heightened fears of civil wars in the Arab sector. Gaza already has been the scene of battle between rival terrorists gangs, particularly those opposed to Arafat's cousin Moussa."
--Arutz Sheva

"Yasser Arafat, who reportedly is now breathing his last, is considered the father of modern terrorism. He is directly responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent Israeli citizens, the deaths of untold numbers of Arabs and the killing of more than 100 U.S. citizens. Among the Americans were two diplomats, whose cruel murders in Sudan Arafat ordered by radio from his Beirut headquarters.

In 1995, Ariel Sharon said, 'I don't know anyone other than Arafat who has as much civilian Jewish blood on his hands since the time of the Nazis.'"
-- Arutz Sheva

Shalom,
Ben

Evil man, yes, very much so, but I too fear his predecesor the one we will not know, the unknown. I fear for the inhabitants of Eretz Israel. You are at a disadvantage when you don't know your enemy.
This is also odd , especially in an election year and now coming down to the last week here in the USA. I sure hope it isn't like in Noah's time, when Methuselah died, "IT" came.

Hello everybody... I have a question.. I was over on the Escatology site just now, and someone posted a thread and an article that said if Arafat dies, that their plan is to bury him at the temple mount..and it's going to cause great problems..What's your opinion of this may I ask?

Well, it should mean more freedom for them in that they could choose to take off their blinders and see how Arafat uses them as political pawns... however, they will most likely grieve his death. I fear him but I fear his replacement more.
With the time I spent in the territories over there it doesn't seem like it would matter. So they see Arafat for what he is, those people also have to deal with the fact that the PA, Hamas, and other terrorists have all the guns the israeli soldiers don't. Those even accused of "collaborating" with Israel are often hauled out into the street and shot.

Arafat is the Tito Marshall type holding many factions together. With him gone the wanna-be dictators will squabble amongst each other.

Those caught in-between also often seem to be Arab Christians. Our brothers and sisters. I feel sorry for them, and these cousins (as Jews are to Arabs) of mine deserve all our prayers.
