    Pagan influences

Not true, especially here in the UDD. There are numerous Christians that do not believe in the literal resurrection of Jesus. Many priests and clergymen from mainstream denominations have written such articles. To be a Christian means that you accept and follow Jesus' teachings. The rest of the...

    Pagan influences

Yes it does. You demand evidence to support claims, so others should be able to make the same demand of you. I am not attacking Christianity...remember that I too, am a Christian. I am just not traditional or orthodox. Can you prove any of your claims without the use of the Bible? You said...

    Pagan influences

/yawn And the answer is...NO! Not a shred of evidence to support your claims either. The door swings both ways.

    Pagan influences

Uhm, are you seriously going to preach this drivel? December 25th has long been a day of celebration for many cultures throughout the world, long before Christianity. The winter solstice for the northern hemisphere falls on December 21, and many festivals are planned after that date. You really...

    Pagan influences

Yes, Judaism and Christianity had pagan influences. Forget the Bible and what you learned in Sunday School for a moment. If you look at ancient history, only a blind fool would argue against pagan influences. December 25, anyone? Ancient man was nomadic. Ancient empires were the centers of...

who or what is the Devil, Satan, that old serpent, the great dragon?

The only problem with people continuing to perpetrate this idea that Lucifer is another name for Satan is that they are mistaken in doing so, plain and simple. Satan is not a name, it is a title. It is a Hebrew term that means adversary. If you knew Hebrew you would agree. Lucifer is taken...

    Christian Deism

Yes it is. Deism believes that God does not get involved with the world, letting everything run according to the laws of nature that He created. Free will, which is a common belief in deism, just explains our view as to why He does not get involved with our affairs. It has nothing to do with...

    Christian Deism

Once again, according to who? There are many facets of deism, just like there are many denominations of Christianity. I am whatever I claim, and no one will dictate to me what I can or cannot be.

    Christian Deism

Incorrect. A true deist does not confine God to the laws of nature. We recognize that God created the laws of nature and set everything in motion. He does not interfere with us because of our free will. And where do you get that we don't believe in an afterlife? Could you please point me to...

who or what is the Devil, Satan, that old serpent, the great dragon?

Why would you use the KJV, when it has bad translations? Jerome was wrong in capitalizing the L in lucifer in his Latin Vulgate. Why do you think modern translations have removed it? The entire chapter is talking about a fallen Babylonian king. Period. End of story.

    Christian Deism

No. I am saying that finding true meaning with your own spirituality is a process, and not everyone fits into traditional molds with predefined beliefs.

    Christian Deism

According to you, maybe. You've already stated that, just as I have already explained why and how the terms can go together, based on one's beliefs. Virgin birth is also an oxymoron, yet so many believe in it. That too, has already been stated.

who or what is the Devil, Satan, that old serpent, the great dragon?

The Bible hasn't misled anyone...man did. Human interpretation has messed things up considerably over the centuries, especially the KJV. If you could read Hebrew and Greek, and knew the cultural idioms of the time, you'd see clearly what they were talking about. Modern Christians are looking at...
