Pro-life branching out to "hate everybody"?

Well, it is more that theyr agenda goes beyond pro-life. It is rightwing fundamentalism. Anti-abortion, anti-homosexuals, anti-muslim, and likely anti-anybody-not-a-conservative-fundamentalist.

    Andrea Yates

No, she was psychotic. If you don't know the difference, then you need to learn what it is if you are to continue a meaningful, credible discussion here. So you want to ban cancer treatment for smokers, f.ex? Or treatment for heart attacks in couch potatoes? Hmm, and what is your qualified...

    Andrea Yates

I take it you believe in executing the mentally ill? This is downright offensive. This is as bad as when people with schizophrenia were considered evil just because they were psychotic. This is the attitude we saw 200 years ago. To me it is downright despicable.

    Andrea Yates

And how do you make that determination? Sure it is how you feel, but insisting that when people go "psycho" they have the capacity to think about anything in a rational fashion seems a very odd belief.

Did you miss how Andrea Yates was psychotic and mentally ill?

    Fetus not parasite BY DEFINITION

Really? The Stedman's definition was as follows (referenced earlier): Parasite 1. an organism that lives on or in another and draws its nourishment therefrom. 2. In the case of a fetal inclusion or conjoined twins, the usually incomplete twin that derives its support from the more nearly normal...

    What evidence would convince you?

For evidence of the physical world, I look at the evidence found in the physical world. If scientific evidence derived through the Scientific Method suddenly was found that showed an explanation other than Evolution for how organisms change over generations, then that would be enough to have to...

    Contraceptives?

And then, as private citizens, VOTE. ;)

    Finally, Some Common Sense.

Exactly. It seems like so many of the churches of today are not churches for Christ, but rather anti-abortion churches or anti-homosexual churches. They have become divisive, political machines, leaving God somewhere to merely be used as just another tool in their political warfare. God as a...

Why abortion isn't wrong, even for Christians

Well, for one this was specifically directed at Jeremiah. And when God knows Jeremiah BEFORE he is formed, before conception, then what happens at and after conception, the physical body, frankly doesn't matter much. As such, this would indicate that abortions simply are not a big deal. <edited>

Why abortion isn't wrong, even for Christians

Viability, the age at which 50% of pregnancies will survive for one year, is currently at about 24 weeks. It has not changed a whole lot the last 20 years.

    The Global Flood

LOL. The Bible as a Weapon of Terror, is that what he is suggesting? God as Warlord?

Why abortion isn't wrong, even for Christians

only in your overheated fantasy. "Baby" is the developmental stage beginning at birth. "Fetus" is the developmental stage beginning at the 9th week and lasting until birth. Actually, that's not a baby. That is not what was said, of course. perhaps you should reread that part without the...
