Are post-Gospel writings like the Talmud?

If we consider the 4 gospels to be the account of Jesus, isn't it similar to the 5 books of Moses, an account of the Jewish people. Wouldn't the writings of Paul then be similar to the Talmud in the sense that it is writings and further teachings expanding on the original?

Secular teen returns from 'clinical death' with messages of redemption

Which part do you find contrary to the word? There was stuff in the video that is questionable but I don't see any in what I wrote?

Has Anyone Seen this video? What did you think about it?

Sorry meant to say I am concerned that he is wearing them and seems to be guided by legalism.

Has Anyone Seen this video? What did you think about it?

I just posted about this and now see the topic here. My concern is that the kid is not wearing tzizit and believing in legalism. Isn't that in contradiction to what he said about the Messiah not judging based on your beard or kippah but rather your heart and chesed?

Secular teen returns from 'clinical death' with messages of redemption

What do you guys make of this story? I read that 15 year old Natan, a secular Jewish teen with no knowledge of bible prophecy was in 'clinical death' and woke up talking about the imminent return of the Messiah. A world class body language expert confirms he is not lying and believes what he is...

Do Isaiah servant songs refer to Israel or Jesus?

The Jewish nation is refered to as "man" many times though so why would this Isaiah 53 account which is plural be Jesus?

Do Isaiah servant songs refer to Israel or Jesus?

Rabbinic Judaism argues that Isaiah 53 and all the servant songs refer to the Jewish nation and not to Jesus. In leading up to Isaiah 53 it seems clear all are references to Israel. Isaiah 49:7 calls Israel "Him who man despises" and 49:8 that "they will restore the the Earth" Does this...

    What's in it for HaSatan?

Well the analogy to someone knowing they are going to die and doing as they please in hedonism is a good one but even if Satan knows he will be defeated, what is his gain in causing suffering to all? What joy or benefit does he get by causing a child to suffer with cancer or to create a rift in...

    Liberal Messianics

Please, let this not be an argument on liberal versus conservative on this thread. I simply invite those with a liberal viewpoint, philosophy, mindset to chat here. I am not defining what that means because it can vary and be different per individual. I agree with the comment that Jews are very...

    What's in it for HaSatan?

What I don't understand is if he knows how it's gonna end why is he doing this? He knows he can't defeat God so what's his gain to cause problems in the meanwhile.

    Liberal Messianics

That's very true but over the years I have found a number of messianics who are more liberal/moderate politically speaking when it comes to economics and social policies. I wonder if it differs by location, U.S. messianics seem to be very conservative but some around the world seem to be a bit...

    Liberal Messianics

I wanted to create a thread for those of us who identify as liberal followers of Yeshua. This isn't to create a divide, we are all one in the body of Messiah but many Messianics do trend conservative politically and I wanted to converse among friends who espouse a more progressive view. God bless!

    Jewish "Gut Feeling" on Jesus

I was raised in a traditional Jewish home and came to believe in Jesus several years ago. My post is a cry for help and a struggle that I have from time to time. I believe in Jesus but sometimes I get sick to my stomach wondering what if I am sinning, betraying my people and that I have fallen...

Is an actively gay person who believes in Jesus saved?

Both sides here make good points. I personally am unclear as to whether the bible addresses homosexuality altogether or it is misunderstood and it has to do with idolatry and paganism (I am not going to debate that here) but that's where I am coming from in my discussion on this. That's why I...

Is an actively gay person who believes in Jesus saved?

If God judges the heart and a person is devoted to Christ in every way but remains actively gay in a commited monogamous relationship because they dont see it as a sin then they aren't in open rebellion with God. They love God and are trying to do his will and are either right and the bible is...
