  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

Shepherdess, Female, from Cornwall

I'm wondering why it says 'Anglican' for my faith, and where can I change that if I want to? I think I need it to say 'It's complicated'! Jan 22, 2016

I am a Messianic Jewish Anglican in the UK. Accidentally maverick Shepherdess. Really I'm an ecclectic mixture of open-minded conservative and sceptical liberal, so I can fit in anywhere but don't feel as though I quite belong.

From a mixed religious background including Evangelical, (slightly fundamentalist, American) Baptist, Elim Pentecostal and The Salvation Army, Judaism and Messianic Judaism.
I'm very interested in early Celtic Christianity, new Monasticism, mission and fresh expressions.

I have a vision for an online Celtic, dispersed, monastic community, focused on looking at the earliest Celtic and Jewish expressions of Christianity, with a vision to establish a local, physical irl outworking of community in Cornwall.

Cornwall is not England, btw. Just saying. :D

Early in 2014 I was put forward for the Anglican priesthood, but rejected (pre-panel) for not being quite Anglican (or possibly not quite middle class) enough after 4 years as a member. The DDO told me that he recognised that I had a call, but gave me a list of things to do (mostly like familiarise myself more fully with the liturgy) and come back in a year. After that year I found myself in the position of having a new vicar who wouldn't recommend me as he was very heavily anti-evangelical. So I'm floating a bit now, not sure what direction to head in (or even whether Anglicanism is quite the right fit), and also limited by ill health. So currently on a hiatus with regard to ordination.

I'm interested in everything!, reading, writing, sci-fi, languages (Cornish, Welsh, Gaelic, Swedish, old Norse, Anglo-Saxon, Latin, Hebrew, Arabic, Klingon etc.! These are not languages I know btw, just the main ones I'm interested in!) travel, Judaism, alternative lifestyles, intentional community, music, health, fitness (counter-balanced by addiction to chocolate) :)
