Grieg composed a smaller body of work than many composers discussed here, but his music is unique and wonderfully conceived. In addition to Peer Gynt and his Piano Concerto, I also am very fond of his Holberg Suite. If you haven't heard it before, it is worth a listen.

Concerto for Bassoon and Orchestra, a wonderfully written piece

One of my all time favorite pieces of music is Mozart's Requiem...to think he was still composing it while on his deathbed is astounding and makes this piece all the more special to me.

Some of Bach's most popular pieces are the Brandenburg Concertos. Each one individually is wonderful, but listened to collectively, they are truly an amazing experience. Praise God for the talent He bestowed on Bach.
