    Santa Muerte

I'm a little confused by this post. I've been living in Mexico for 7 years now, and there is no connection between santa muerte (what the thread is about) and Día de Los Muertos. This site gives a quick explanation about the celebration Day Of The Dead / El Dia De Los Muertos from MexOnline.com

More Than One Path To God?

I have read the history. What you say of Moses and God choosing only a few people to be His is Old Testament. We are now living in New Testament times, and God doesn't want to lose one person, regardless of who he/she is. 2 Peter 3:9: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men...

More Than One Path To God?

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If you believe the Bible, then it's clear that it's Jesus' decision who comes unto the Father. It is HE who judges our situation and the paths we take in this world, not you nor I...

I propose we make 2 changes

What did Apple do to Eve and this world? If we are talking about Apple the company, it didn't come to be until long after. If we're talking about an apple (fruit), that is not mentioned anywhere in Genesis. All it says is that Adam and Eve ate a forbidden fruit. what fruit it was, who knows?

More Than One Path To God?

Jesus is the right path for us. True faith in Jesus is guaranteed salvation. However, it would be extremely presumptuous to say that God wouldn't or couldn't accept a person of another faith. That's Jesus' decision and not yours or mine. The wonders of God are boundless, and who are we to...

My son has asked "what happens when we die?"

I just tell people that as a Christian I believe we are guaranteed salvation, and that it's God's decision on what happens to those who believe otherwise. I point to the story of the rich, young man. At the end, Jesus is asked "Who will be saved?" His reply is that with God all things are possible.

Why I feel so shaky in faith

When it comes to questions like these, I look at the bigger picture. I cannot answer what is God's logic for doing what He does, and it certainly doesn't make sense at times from a human perspective. However, let's assume God is who He says He is. If true then the planet Earth is just like a...

Socialism: second verse .. same as the first

Why Christians Shouldn’t Be Offended By So-Called "Socialism" by Morgan Guyton In a recent interview with George Stephanopoulos, Congressman Paul Ryan said that he had a basic philosophical difference with the Democrats: he believes that rights come from God while they think rights...

    Learning Spanish...

The best way to learn Spanish is immersion. I wanted to learn Spanish several years ago, so I decided to take classes at a local community college. However, I found that a 3 hour class per week, a little bit of homework, and then returning to and English-speaking environment was the most...

    [Moved] Are all ppl saved?

We are guaranteed salvation through our faith in Jesus, but I find the below Scripture interesting. What I take from it is that God will save whom He wants. As Christians, we believe we are saved, but it isn't for us to say that anyone who is not a Christian is not saved. That's up to God...
